    Most overrated "broken" things?

Oh, duh, I actually figured that out before I posted then forgot :X I actually have a player in my campaign with VoP (and two other Vows, he's an Apostle of Peace), and the book seems... overpowered, random fighter crits him for 134, but ooh! Fails a will save, his weapon breaks... He also has...

    Most overrated "broken" things?

Potion of Haste, Whirling Frenzy (Unearthed Arcana Barbarian variant). Sorry to ask, but what is VoP?

Level 9 feat for my Duskblade

That second part is not true, and I may have meant Dimension Hop.

    Ultimate healer

Untrue on both counts - maximized is better, and an empowered one cures (4.5)*1.5+5 = 11.75

    Move while Cleaving?

Maybe he isn't actually moving 5ft, or he's moving in between rounds and the goblins just keep missing.

Level 9 feat for my Duskblade

Sudden Silent is really good with Dimension Door. You can't be killed unless at all once (though I don't remember who you can bring with you). Gets out of grapples and silences either way, even both!

PHB2: Melee Weapon Mastery - am I missing something?

Oooooh I didn't read the whole post, sorry =\ thought you were quoting the actual feat. Then again, that's against the rules, so I should have seen it coming. Yeah, the morningstar thing I've heard before, but I'm not sure how good it is :P

PHB2: Melee Weapon Mastery - am I missing something?

So if I take Melee Weapon Mastery (Slashing) and Ranged Weapon Mastery (Slashing) I get +4/+4 with daggers?

PHB2: Melee Weapon Mastery - am I missing something?

Heh, Wik, that annoys me too - I miss the good 'ole Diablo 2 days where when my paladin picked up a kickarse axe, I'd use it, then find a better sword - so I'd use that. There should be a feat that gives +1 to all weapon attacks, does not stack with weapon focus, so you don't get stuck with...

PHB2: Melee Weapon Mastery - am I missing something?

I think everyone goes through the same train of thought - nope, you're not reading it wrong. It's an incredible feat, and it makes a 4 level dip into fighter worth it for most (well, lots of, not Warblades heh) melee fighters.

    Beguiler in core books game

Yep, imagine a sorceror with only enchantment and illusion spells, that gets d6s, 6+int skill points (and is based on intellect, so even more), and trapfinding. If you don't have an expert already, a beguiler is amazing for it. Oh they also get light armor and can feint in combat and it makes...

    3rd Level Warlock Feat

Huh? Binders? What do they have to do with anything? The Fey Heritage feats are pretty cool.

    Which class for monstrous shamans?

Really depends on the race and situation. But everything you listed could easily be one, even an extremely intelligent/charismatic rogue who just lies about power and/or uses UMD. (I voted other)

    Ranged Melee Attack

You could just grab the Throw Anything feat, as well as Brute Throw and Power Throw if you want to use your strength and power attack.

    ToB Stances

Master of Nine can also use two stances at once, for a limited number of rounds per day.

Improved Life Drain and Fell Drain (Libris Mortis)

Alright, except I don't think that "Enervation" would be considered "bestowing a negative level" any more than whirling blade is considered a melee attack. But yeah, even though I'm the DM I'd rather not say "NO!" if I can't prove it - but we discussed it, and he agrees that it's not in the...

Improved Life Drain and Fell Drain (Libris Mortis)

So I'm stuck with knowing that it shouldn't work, and having no way to prove it? >_<

Improved Life Drain and Fell Drain (Libris Mortis)

That's what I said, but my player is convinced that because in the text of imp Life Drain it doesn't say that the ability *has* to be Supernatural.

Improved Life Drain and Fell Drain (Libris Mortis)

Ah, I had that problem too - next page, Monstrous Feats. I may have the name wrong - requires cha 15 and a negative level Su ability
