    PC Replacements

New PCs start at the average level of the party, from races that plausibly can be found wherever the party is when the new character joins. As we play a Planescape campaign, this doesn't provide too many restrictions, but we did have a player join while the party was visiting a "cleansed"...

    Introducing Sigil

If you have access to In the Cage: A Guide to Sigil, you'll have a plethora of sites which the PCs can visit in order to get ready for the wedding. Perhaps the rehearsal dinner is held at Chirper's, and the eyewing escapes during the festivities. Maybe the bride-to-be has a gift for her groom...

Do you use the Book of Exhalted Deeds or the Book of Hallowed Might?

I use spells from both supplements, and the paladin in my group uses spells and a prestige class from the Book of Exalted Deeds. I must admit, I don't own the Book of Vile Darkness, as my kids go through my gaming stuff on a regular basis and the wife didn't want them to see the pics.

    sigil info

www.svgames.com has just about all the 2E Planescape products available for download. If all you want is to focus on Sigil, I'd recommend the main Planescape boxed set, In the Cage: A Guide to Sigil, and Uncaged: Faces of Sigil. That should give you a good grip on the city itself, and you can...

Is D&D a lifestyle for you?

I chose "it's a big part of my life." I've been married for 13 years and have 4 beautiful daughters, and D&D is my only vice. I met my wife by enticing her to play D&D, and we play a stripped-down version of the minis game with our girls. I also freelance in the industry, so I depend on it...

    d20 Races: Balance

Using the guidelines in Savage Species, unbalanced ability scores are a justification for +1 LA. Being Large is also +1 LA, as you gain reach if you're a biped. Without knowing specifics about the race in question, I can't make recommendations on how to bring down to +0 LA, but I can point out...

Druids, The City Guard and Animal Companions

It's important to remember that the animal companion is still an animal and behaves as such. A druid or ranger should have to make a DC 25 Handle Animal check to get an animal companion to enter a city (the "push" option), unless it's trained to come, in which case it's only a DC 10 skill...

    Oathbound Campaigns?

I'm easing my players into it slowly. They just hit 7th level, and each party member has been visited by one of the feathered fowl. It's strange, really...they won't discuss the meetings with each other in character. I hope to pull them to the Forge at 8th level.
