I think the more information a DM has the better it is. Festivals special phrases and such only serve to make the world more real to everytone involved and it makes easier for the players to rp in character. Thats just my opinion though, so if ya want to post more detailed info :) go for it.

well it seems I will have to check some of these books out. Is there one that you find better or more natural than the rest ? I am curious as I plan on taking a cue from you and trying to introduce mass combat to make the PC's feel like they are part of something larger.

this is a good idea, I have always liked the idea of mixing a little cross genre stuff in ocassionally to throw the PC's a curve ball. Having other planets in your campaign seems like it would afford you the opurtunnity to have these things without resorting to alternate dimensions and such...

nice this is very cool, it heps to make a city more real when the DM has things like this to flesh out whichever city you place it in. Give it some depth so it doesn't feel like a cardboard cut out local. Thanks :)
