    Dolmenwood preview pdf available.

The kickstarter is ending tonight and it has well surpassed their goal. Does this indicate an approximate release date? If so, any idea what it would be?

    Unpopular opinions go here

The purely selfish upside to nobody wanting service jobs is that I have a little more power when I negotiate for something. I no longer work Sundays in a restaurant* because (1) Sundays notoriously suck in restaurants and (b) that's when I play the D&D. 🕺 *I still work the private party...

    Unpopular opinions go here

It seems like it's been getting worse to me. Otoh, this could just be signalling my old age ("people were respectful back in my day... and we liked it!)

    Unpopular opinions go here

Hi! I've worked in the service industry for over 30+ years, from Chili's to fine dining to sit-down dinners in billionaire homes. From what i have experienced and from what I have heard from media economic reports, restaurants are struggling to find employees like never before. Low-end jobs...

    D&D 5E (2014) What is your Favorite non-WotC 5E Supplement or Adventure?

"Off the Beaten Path" series that I found on DrivethruRPG Each PDF provides encounters based on terrain type. These can be a single large encounter (e.g. bandit ambush) or 1-2 page adventure (e.g. A cursed ghost town filled with undead). Great for developing random encounters that go beyond...

    What is "Prep"?

This last part; it's the part that makes the game fun for me. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I don't need to cover all the answers. In fact, I don't want to start play thinking that i have every contingency prep'd. Some chaos is needed 😉

    What is "Prep"?

The campaign is on hiatus for the another month or so. But when we're playing regularly, this is how it flows for me: Go for a walk; think about campaign write Recap from last session Go for a walk; think about campaign Reading the material for next adventure Go for a walk; think about...

    OSR DCC Lankhmar Box Set?

So my birthday was a week ago and I received a several Amazon Gift Cards. I'm thinking about picking up the Box Set ($60) that was released in 2019. Has anyone bought this? Better yet, has anyone run a game using the rules? Please tell me what you think

D&D General Finally, a real explanation of HP!

Hit Points are a measure of how much the DM loves you. Mystery solved.

D&D General What is your favorite intro module?

The Ruined Tower of Zenopus. A fair sized dungeon for 1st level located near a town. Plenty to explore, Multiple dungeon entrances/exits, varied enemies (ghoul, giant snake, goblins, pirates) and some good hooks for the DM to expand on. I ran this 2-3 years ago for a group of newbs and we're...
