I had the same experience at DDXP with the Dragon. We beat it, but it felt like a hit point grind.

We beat it. I was playing the Warlock, crit'd with my daily, but missed with my encounter. Figured out through trial and error that Will was the weak save and kept shooting it with Eyebite. Several other big helps: 1) The DM rolled like crap the whole time. Dragon only got one, maybe two...

I have two paradigms that I can't seem to break: 1) The last adventure has world-shaking consequences. 2) The characters' backgrounds follow them around constantly. In fact, I usually start with a very vague idea for a campaign and then mold the particular adventures around their backgrounds.

I'm going to pick something off the wall, because I'm chiming in late: Medium armor slowing you down. It makes it worthless. Medium armor should cut run speed, heavy armor should cut speed.

Went for Aritificer, but then, as far as D&D goes I'm an Ebberon whore.

The introduction of guns also meant that any climactic fights must have nearby doves flying by in slow motion.

There was an old Jedi counseling article which made Force lightning into a power that uses an attack roll, and did the redirect thing that Yoda does in AoTC as a use of a Force point associated with the Block ability. Ultimately, though, I'd be tempted to go with adapting grim tales/d20 future.

Next week, if it hasn't already been done, I'll start a thread for pick-up game signups. I figured I'd wait a week-1.5 weeks after registration opened so that people would have their official schedules worked out.

I actually used Spycraft for a Firefly one-shot; it worked pretty well. I'd definitely go Sidewinder/Future/Hot Pursuit for a long term game though.

I hope this thread sets off another rash of 4e threads, like "What should the pagination look like in the new books?"

As far as I'm concerned this is the first (live action) Batman movie. Sure Batman and Batman Returns are fine films (I own and enjoy both of them). However, the character portrayed in them seems more like James Bond in a bat-suit.
