    Do you like modrons?

Modrons were amusing and cool back in 2e. They barely made it into 3e, but I was rather indifferent. Warforged > Modrons

Templar base class (Round 2, this time as an offensive cleric)

What is your goal here? A well built PHB Cleric is already the best "Holy Knight" class available. Maybe I'm missing it, I only skimmed over your writeup. What does templar offer that is worth using over a Cleric?

    Most exploited combo

2d4 + S + PA + LA (18-20x2) > 1d12 +S + PA + LA (20x3). Falchion: the powergamer's twohander of choice. 6d6 Dex dmg, but sure. You might as well just Maximize it, 18dex will stop just about anything the spell can target.

    D&D 3.x 3.5E - is the warlock underpowered?

    Warlocks are very underpowered.

Are you buying a DDI subscription?

still bitter No. I still run/play D&D 3.75 (3.5, heavily house-ruled)... and as such the DDI is useless to me. If WotC gets D&D 5e right, and the DDI supports it, I might be interested. Cya in three (two and a half?) years WotC!!

    Porting SWd20 stuff to 3.x?

I'd added the SW martial arts feats to my D&D back before the revised d20sw. Lets you play a fighter who can mix it up with monks if need be... they're just not as flashy, and more prone to taking a hit. But they can dish it out... 3d4 +str 18-20x2 around 8th lvl. And back before revised...

Iaijutsu Master Questions (Monk side note questions)

Iaijutsu Master does well to convey the "Kenshin-style" anime samurai. Myth Busted! edit: my build at lvl 20 Warblade 7 / Iaijutsu Master 5 / Master of Nine 5 / Warblade 3 important feats: Cosmopolitan (FRCS): choose any non-exclusive skill. It is now a class skill, gain +2 with this...

Are some of the basic elements of medieval combat too weak in D&D?

3e shields are pretty laughable. Any optimized fighter-type is probably using a two-hander. 3e lances kick some serious tail while mounted. study mounts are hard to come by. 3e Polearms - I dunno, I think its too easy to step up into thier reach. Perhaps polearms should be able to attack at...

How do you bring 4.0 and 3.5 classes together?

strip out the powers (shared progression?) from the 4e classes and blend them into the 3.5 classes. Invent new base classes where needed. 3.5 doesn't have a "warlord"... so you might apply its powers to the bard. G'luck... smacks of effort. edit: or you could turn each 4e Class into a...

    multiple cohorts and leadership.

You could (up to DM, of course) have a cascade of Cohorts (for lack of a better term). One of my players had this going on in our first Epic campaign (starting lvl 21). He had leadership, and I think a PrC that gave two Cohorts. Each cohort (3.0, so both lvl 20) had a cohort (lvl 19)... who...

    Does anyone like class skills?

I threw out class skills a couple years ago. A class isn't, and shouldn't be, defined for its skills.

    everyone in group taking 'leadership'?

Three players? Hell, let them make thier own cohorts and give them PC wealth. even 6 PCs shouldn't be that big an issue. Right?

Best horror system you have used?

Horror is in the DM, not the mechanics. Ravenloft never understood that. Read up on some classic Horror. Play up your descriptions... remember that subtlety is best.

Will the real 4E please stand up?

Pathfinder It aspires to fixing the flaws of 3e without completely giving up the game to "complete gamist crap".

The Blade, 2nd Edition Bard kit, updated, how would you do it?

Yeah, but the 2e Blade was weak too. It'll be just like old times.

Forked Thread: Does Turn Undead need fixing?

I use an improved version of Complete Divine's mechanics. Destruction of the Undead. Instead of making undead run and cower, turn attempts deal positive energy damage to all undead within a 30ft radius burst of the cleric. Turning undead is a standard action that deals 1d6 damage/cleric...

    thrallherd PrC.

I've had an exalted (gestalt) Monk | Psion / thrall herd who's thralls and beleivers heralded him as the "Fist of the Cudgel". Yes, his thrall was a cleric of St Cuthbert. Good times. Aesthetically, my PC wasn't subverting people to his will (at least, not intentionally) While the PrC's...

    Core Prestige Classes

I don't think I've had a single Wis-based PC who didn't have a 1-lvl-dip into Shiba Protector since OA came out. :D Works nicely for Paladins, Druids, Monks, Clerics... well worth losing 1 level of casting!!

    multiple cohorts and leadership.

Undead Leadership says you can't have it and regular Leadership (I think). I might be confusing it with Thrallherd... which doesn't allow for Leadership. I've had a Thrallherd with Undead Leadership and Dragon Cohort though :p A single druid can be just as time intensive. Druid, animal...
