Level Up (A5E) A journey example

Sure they are! It's like George Foreman's kids. ;)

Level Up (A5E) A journey example

In which case, you would probably just use regular exploration

What normally happens after a TPK?

    It hasn't so far.

What normally happens after a TPK?

When individual characters die, players reroll new characters that we find a way to tie into the group, even if only one character lives. If it is a true TPK, though, I follow the autosave rule of combat and they usually find themselves having a bad bout of premonition before the battle/scenario...

Where and how do you play?

I play at home with my family. I really wish I could be a player, though, in a non-family (or at least, not just family) group instead of DMing ours all the time. Preferably in-person, but I would try Online.

D&D 5E (2014) Too Few Player Options During Combat?

My players still haven't explored all the options available during combat. Our overland trek hasn't offered much combat at all, but when we start fighting a bunch again, I am going to have to challenge them to learn (and use) one new option. I've done this before, but it has been a while.

D&D 5E (2014) Is my brother a problem player? Or am I just a bad DM?

Exactly. At the same time, though, they may be more invested in the storyline than in their particular characters.

D&D 5E (2014) Is my brother a problem player? Or am I just a bad DM?

If both options are acceptable to the DM, then yes, let them vote. Player buy-in is important.

D&D 5E (2014) Is my brother a problem player? Or am I just a bad DM?

This would be a good option as well. Maybe let the players vote on if they want to do a semi-reset like this or start completely from scratch.

D&D 5E (2014) What do you want out of crafting rules?

We have a houserule that lets players learn new skills by studying/training with an expert.

D&D 5E (2014) What do you want out of crafting rules?

I have no problem with using crafting to save or make money, nor with characters being at different levels. Our party hasn't been all at the same level since the first death. However, I do agree that you should be able (with connection to the adventure) be able to make cooler things than you...

D&D General How Was Your Last Session?

Due to a recovering sick kid, it was a short session. My players finally investigated the caravan enough to learn everybody's names, though. Also, our half-orc acquaintance came up with a plan to raid one of the wagons that may or may not be a cultist wagon, so I need to prep some decent loot...

D&D General What do I do with a Player who doesn't care about the actual game?

Plus, if you chose this route, he could help run some of the NPCs in combat if he really wanted to do something every once in a while.

Level Up (A5E) Spell lists by class level

I would do both, but if I had to pick, with the class.

D&D 5E (2014) What do you want out of crafting rules?

I like it. The only thing I would change would be to have tool proficiency negate the need for a DC check for tanning and weaving. Am I right in assuming both the tanning and the weaving processes take 10 days each? Also, I'm sure this would get caught before publishing, but "pestil" should be...

D&D 5E (2014) What do you want out of crafting rules?

Actually, I want to craft things in a mundane fashion. I WANT good crafting rules that my players can create during their downtime.

D&D 5E (2014) What do you want out of crafting rules?

I think some spellcasting would be necessary, even if it was just to make the enchanted ingredients. However, it could be assumed to be part of the time commitment and not extra.
