D&D 5E (2014) The case for (and against) a new Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book

I am a new player/DM that just started in 5E. I want FR. I might travel to other planes here and there, but FR is where the home base is.

D&D 5E (2014) The case for (and against) a new Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book

An index for the campaign books would be wonderful.

D&D 5E (2014) The case for (and against) a new Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book

I'm starting to think I need to buy this book before I get to Waterdeep in ToD.

D&D 5E (2014) The case for (and against) a new Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book

Also, quite frankly, they don't have ENOUGH information. I run my games purely from published settings. However, I want to know more about the towns we pass through. I want more maps. I want more possible adventure hooks in case my players go off the intended path.

D&D 5E (2014) The case for (and against) a new Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book

Or, it is a way for those of us whose budgets have NOT been hurt to keep companies that we believe in afloat. Don't push your financial hurts on everybody else. Note that I am not advocating that anybody who IS in a dire financial situation spend money unwisely. However, everybody needs a...

D&D 5E (2014) Which three topics do you most want to receive official (WotC) treatment?

Actually, I think that at least a pamphlet for this would be very useful -- especially if your game includes a lot of subterfuge/role play.

D&D 5E (2014) Would you buy a Dark Sun setting book for 5e?

I like Forgotten Realms, however, if there was a way to jump to the Dark Sun plane it might be incorporated into one of my campaigns.

D&D 5E (2014) Which three topics do you most want to receive official (WotC) treatment?

I want more Forgotten Realms, but away from the Sword Coast. And epic level campaigns.

EN World Try Out This New Toggle!

I like having the lights on, because the other way hurts my eyes, but I am glad we have the option now.

    Raiders of the Overreach

I can't wait to hear more about the Dragon King. I'm also wondering if Marlo's relationship with him is what made her so susceptible to the being in the void.

    New Campaign Framework- Help!

Instead of having them be his children, what about having them be several generations removed? Their families went into hiding at first, but now are amongst the general population. Maybe they have family tales that have been passed down. Maybe somebody is searching for them (good or bad). Maybe...

    Downsides of Working From Home

No, because our public libraries are in constant threat of being shut down -- at least in rural areas.

D&D 5E (2014) What would you like to see in 5e books?

I like everything about this idea except for tying it to an Online gaming system.

D&D 5E (2014) Would you let your player choose their magic items they get?

The way I do it is at Session Zero. And those are the only wishlists I use. If your character dies and you have to create a new one? No new list. If somebody new joins up? No new list. We are also playing a Level 1 - 20 campaign, so by the time something actually shows up in the loot, my...

D&D 5E (2014) Would you let your player choose their magic items they get?

Even then, though, there are places that give a lot of leeway for treasure.

D&D 5E (2014) Would you let your player choose their magic items they get?

One of my characters decided that he had been given a quest to find a certain scepter (which may or may not exist) so I worked it into the story line.

D&D 5E (2014) Would you let your player choose their magic items they get?

Before we started, I had them compile a wish list. When a pile of loot looks like it will fit, I will sometimes pull something from that list, but I don't tell them who I had intended it for.

    Downsides of Working From Home

But that is one thing that needs to change. Internet NEEDS to be reclassified as a common utility.

It worked after the Great Depression.
