    D&D 5E (2014) Do We Really Need a Lot of Gold? (D&D 5th Edition)

To be fair, many people aren't asking that this is included in the DMG, just that there is an official supplement or two that covers it.

    D&D 5E (2014) Do We Really Need a Lot of Gold? (D&D 5th Edition)

XTE has some rules for this in its downtime section.

    D&D 5E (2014) Do We Really Need a Lot of Gold? (D&D 5th Edition)

My family still plays WoW, at least in the winter time. We've always unsubscribed in the summer, because we spend more time outside. Plus, the break makes the game fun instead of a chore.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D 'frequently asked' questions?

For me, the book. Each and every time -- and not just because my Internet hasn't always been reliable. It is much easier for me to comprehend things that are written down than it is for me to comprehend it by watching somebody else.

    D&D 5E (2014) Do We Really Need a Lot of Gold? (D&D 5th Edition)

My players earn downtime per objective reached, and they can use it whenever the group decides. They can also use downtime if they are out of earned time, but it comes with a greater chance of being run out of town or arrested. There are also some downtime activities (learning a language/weapon)...

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D 'frequently asked' questions?

I knew a little bit, but not that much. And many board games/video games cost upwards of $80. We buy those too -- without googling them. The books did an okay job, but there were lots of times when we realized we had misread/misinterpreted the rules and had to clarify them during the next...

    Cookin again

We're barbecuing steaks tonight, along with baked potatoes and a nice salad.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D 'frequently asked' questions?

My players and I all started with nothing but the Essentials and the core books. We had seen zero streamed games. A lot of people don't waste all of their time on Youtube, especially those who like to do tabletop games.

D&D 5E (2024) YOU are in charge of the next PHB! What do you change?

I like all of this, but the ASI bit. Don't take away my increases as I level up!

D&D General How Was Your Last Session?

This one was a little awkward, because we lost one of our players since the last session. I had this entire scenario figured out, where they found his dead body in a ditch, but instead, people hardly looked and the wagon train just moved on. Lol! We ended earlier than planned, because the game...

D&D 5E (2014) Do You Tinker with Adventures to Make Them "Winnable"?

Neither, because you do not know why your player read it in the first place.

D&D General Dragons: What role do they play in your campaigns?

We are playing Hoard of the Dragon Queen, so they are pretty important. Lol!

D&D General What's the most problematic D&D player you've ever played with?

My husband. Lol! He is a very reluctant player, but we sometimes need him. At those times, it is almost impossible to find a set time to play, because he always has reasons to avoid it.

D&D 5E (2014) Do You Tinker with Adventures to Make Them "Winnable"?

XP: I don't follow milestone XP. Characters earn what they earn. If that means adding in a few more sidequests or a higher chance of random encounters to bring levels up, so be it. Magic items: I use both Xanathar's and Sly Flourish's blog as guides for how many magic items to make available...

D&D General Gods: What role do they play in your campaigns?

I'd tell him not to worry and then make up your main deity/pantheon, along with any deity/deities that are your natural antagonists.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D 'frequently asked' questions?

Really, how combat goes in general. They Player's Handbook does an extremely poor job of explaining this.

D&D General Gods: What role do they play in your campaigns?

Since we are currently going through The Horde of the Dragon Queen, gods have a significant role in the game. However, even my supposedly cleric players don't use their gods nearly as much as I wish they would. They just use them as an excuse for their powers. sigh
