Messing with skills, a new approach

Your method works fine - though my method is simply to give double skill points for the 1st 3 levels of character (x2, x2, x2 = 6) instead of x4 at 1st (x4, x1, x1 = 6). Your method does indeed make all skills easier to accomplish - certainly worth looking at. B:]B

What fonts and font size do you use

I tried but couldn't stand the 11+ font size! Too big (a new phobia....meglafontaphobia...) for my taste, and so little text in the columns. Too many $5 dollar words and my paragraphs lose their shape. I'm back to 10, 9 for info bars. Size 8 font sounds about right for the main text (for...

What fonts and font size do you use

Hmmm. Fret...fret....fret.... :heh: I'll print up my work in 10, 11, and 12 point and compare how easy they are to read. I lean towards the smaller fonts as a result of my reaction to some oversized print I've seen books - the feeling that the font was pumped up to stretch out the size of...

What fonts and font size do you use

Hrmm. Interesting. I've been using 10 point Comic Sans MS for text, 12 and 16 for headers and title, and 8 for notes - but I wasn't sure if the size was right for general consumption. Does someone know the size/type of font used by WOTC?

What fonts and font size do you use

For your products, what font and size do you favor? Do you vary it by product, or do you have a 'company standard'?

Unhappy with masterwork, mithral, and such

terrainmonkey: you miss the point. As a DM, I'll charge what the circumstances dictate - but I'm seeking a more logical base system for the crafting, buying, and selling of products such as these. The PCs may wish to sell an item, or make one, and they deserve to have a base value - though...

Help finding a prestige class for a warmage

Any source - it just has to get approved! From our understanding, prestige was ok, just not a prestige that was made to bridge the MC gap (such as an eldrich warrior). As to the Pclass, with my feats as focused on psi as they are, I figure I'll have a hell of a time fitting a Pclass. I'm...

Help finding a prestige class for a warmage

I'm searching for a prestige class for my character - and need help/ideas! I'm playing a gestalt Psion (Telepath) / Warmage of 5th level. My feats are: PSIONIC BODY, PSI CRYSTAL, CRYSTAL CONTAIN, PT BLANK SHOT, PSIONIC SHOT. I'm hoping to find an arcane prestige class. I could live with a...

From the SRD: Adamantine Weapons fashioned from adamantine have a natural ability to bypass hardness when sundering weapons or attacking objects, ignoring hardness less than 20. An arrow could be made of adamantine, but a quarterstaff could not...Items without metal parts cannot be made from...

Unhappy with masterwork, mithral, and such

Corlon: Oh, good point about MW armor. How about 10*the weight. MW padded = +100, while MW Full Plate = +500. Mithral Armor: (200 gp)*(weight -10lb) Adam. Armor: (450 GP)*(weight -10lb) Why -10 lb - I assume a % of armor weight is for padded armor underneath, buckles, leather straps & such...

Unhappy with masterwork, mithral, and such

A masterwork dagger costs 302 GP, a masterwork greatsword 350. The dagger weighs 1 lb, the greatsword 8 lb. The uniform price change of 300 for converting a weapon to masterwork irritates me and reduces the difference between the weapons quite a bit. Crafting a MW dagger should be much faster...

A 2nd level bard, 5 ranks in diplo, +4 from cha, +2 synergy, +2 from feat, +3 from feat has a +16 roll, or can get a 36. Not counting circumstance bonuses, spells, and items that can modify this skill. This does not make him an uber person. Skills should not be taken to indicate level - a...

    A Couple of Questions

#1: HP in DnD is abstract - but if a high level character is 'struck' by a bunch of bolts and is not severly injured, assume the bolts are not stuck in him, but rather glanced him, used up some of his combat luck/grace/skill esoteric units, etc. A 20th lv fighter who is struck by a bolt for 3...
