What if Studio Ghibli directed Lord of the Rings?

By this logic identity theft is fine. You still have your identity.

What if Studio Ghibli directed Lord of the Rings?

Firstly, he's retired (again), so I'm not sure how vested his interests are. If anything, Studio Ghibli could save money if they used AI. I don't think being a renowned artist makes him biased, personally, I think being an expert in his field would mean he has a greater understanding of the...

WotC WotC (Mistakenly) Issues DMCA Takedown Against Baldur's Gate-themed Stardew Valley Mod

Apologies in advance for the off topic tangent but: Was the paper in the Spelljammer books thinner? I could have sworn it was way thicker, like I was constantly thinking I was turning two pages at once?

What if Studio Ghibli directed Lord of the Rings?

Paying for the rights to use something is far more respectful than plagiarism. Edit note: in my opinion.

D&D 5E (2014) Why is no one talking about THE BOOK OF MANY THINGS?

I'm a fan of the book. I feel like it goes against a lot of the more common criticisms/complaints people had about 5E. A book chock full of interesting and usable lore. Overflowing with originality, inspiration and creativity. A high quality book that came out after Tasha's. When I bought my...

What if Studio Ghibli directed Lord of the Rings?

I think I threw up in my mouth a little. Imagine how many life drawing classes PJ could have taken with $250.

D&D General Doing Tragedy in D&D

The biggest tragedy in DnD is a cancelled game session. Also, any TPK is probably going to be considered a tragedy.

    Trash TV Secret Shame

I love watching trash. Reality Television is my favourite oxymoron. I’m not even sure I’d call Survivor trash, compared to the other reality shows I watch, Survivor is an Arthouse documentary… Married at first sight Big Brother (I haven’t watched this for a while to be fair) Ink Masters (any...

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

Yeah, I think I’m with you (and Jake Gyllenhaal). At this point the real time wasting slop is arguing with people on the internet.

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

People defend the things they like, even more so when you call them rubbish.

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

If someone had said they love 5E and that OSR games are all just time wasting slop, I’m pretty sure people would be focused on the last part of the statement.

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

I had a Latin teacher in high school (in the late 80's) that was a relic from a past era. If you were caught chewing gum you had to come up to the front of the class where she had a jar full of old, already chewed gum on her desk. You had to swap yours with one from the jar and chew that for...

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

Given the laughs people are having on the topic of teachers abusing children in this thread, I'd say the whistle is working as intended.

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

I would enjoy a higher risk game much more playing a one shot at a convention than I would a full campaign. Also:

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

I’m not sure if D&D is uncool again, But referring to other styles of play as ‘time wasting slop’ certainly is.

    Mickey 17 | Official Trailer 2

There was a TV series made out of Snowpiercer and I think they made a pilot for a TV series based on Parasite at some point. I did think Mickey 17 might have worked better as a series. Although, as much as I enjoyed the movie, it might not have worked without Pattinson in the lead.

    D&D 5E (2024) Monster Manual Organisation

I must say, having seen the book now, I quite like dragons being arranged by colour. It means that we get full page dragon art interspersed at irregular intervals throughout the book, breaking it up and making flipping through the book more enjoyable (at least to me)

D&D 5E (2014) 2024 Monster Manual has better lore than 2014 Monster Manual

When it comes to the issues people have when starting with 5E24, I’d rather hear them from people that started with 5E24. I’d be interested to see the Venn diagram of people that parcel up their criticisms of the new books as concerned for new players and the new player experience with people...
