D&D 5E (2014) How Do You Feel About the Rate of New WotC Game Content for 5E DMs?

Isn’t this exactly what they did for Ravenloft, only in reverse order? With Curse of Strahd being the adventure/campaign and Van Ritchtens guide to Ravenloft being the setting book with a short adventure.

D&D General A DMG for all of us

I'm a bit embarrassed to ask, but I've never understood the difference between modularity and optional rules. Wouldn't things like gritty healing rules be a module, or say Piety in Theros?

Dungeons & Dragons May Not Come Back to Greyhawk After 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide

Deck of Many Things has been getting left out of the conversation recently when people talk about the drop off in quality of late 5E products, and also when people say 5E doesn't support homebrew. Probably because it proves both those points incorrect. Underrated product in my opinion. (also...

D&D General Session Zero and Nobody Chose a Spellcaster

The beauty of 5E is that there’s so many ways to tailor a character to your needs as you level up. And if all else fails, there’s always the old fashion way of hiring NPCs.

D&D 5E (2024) Kobold Press posts 2024 DMG Hit Piece

The previous starter sets for 5E would still be fine for introducing new people that were thinking of picking up the revised rules (Or who had already done so).

D&D 5E (2014) How Do You Feel About the Rate of New WotC Game Content for 5E DMs?

I was happy with the speed throughout 5E’s first 10 years. It was one of the aspects I thought they nailed. It was slow enough to never feel bloated, but at the same time, after 10 years there now feels like enough to cover all my needs. With the backwards compatibility factor moving into the...

I thought it was a good retraction, I’ve already forgotten the whole thing.

D&D 5E (2014) Why 5e? Bringing Back the Cheesecake Factory!

I thought this thread was going to be about bringing back cheesecake art in 5E. Instead i got another well written and interesting analysis of modern D&D by Snarf. No notes.

Yeah, that’s the other thing. It almost feels like he’s complaining (somewhat hypocritically given Russia is bigger) about how big America is. Which is fitting for his character. It’s been awhile since I watched it, but in Black Widow didn’t he also have a fixation with Captain America?

If I thought people here were being sexist I would have called it out directly. My apologies if it came across that I was implying that about you, or anyone else specifically. I’m glad you liked the show.

D&D 5E (2024) Kobold Press posts 2024 DMG Hit Piece

After 10 years of being told the 5E DMG should have been aimed at new players, we're now getting complaints that the 5E24 is being aimed at new players? Also, I fail to see how 5E discourages homebrew. I noticed they closed the comments after the first couple of responses were pointing out...

Trailer Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* | D23 Brazil Special Look

I'm unsurprised that just mentioning She-Hulk online would result in at least a couple of guys needing to list everything they didn't like about the show. Par for the course and all that. But, the idea that no Russian would ever use the word 'big' to describe America is still baffling to me...

Mort was my introduction to Discworld, so will always hold a special place in my heart.

In the context of driving across the country, America is big regardless of where you’re from.

I've always liked 4th wall breaking, from Annie Hall to Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I particularly like how She Hulk referenced writing techniques such as A and B storylines etc... I thought it's usage was pretty clever. I brought it up as an example of a marvel show with a 'story of the week'...

Best Horror Movies of All Time

Maybe not best of all time, but I wanted to mention one of the more unique horror/drama films I’ve seen in recent years… You won’t be alone. If you like original/experimental films, I would recommend checking it out.

I often see complaints that there are too many Marvel movies. Personally I don’t think they are making enough, I would have been happy if we’d already had a Yelena solo trilogy by this point. Looking forward to this.
