D&D 5E (2024) Here's The Covers of BOTH of November's Forgotten Realms Books

Bland backgrounds and goofy faces have been around long before AI. They are not features unique to AI. Overly serious to overly comical sounds like range to me. There are less details in the background monsters to show perspective. As things get further away, you see less details. It’s a...

As a GM, which monster do you find the most difficult to role-play?

Having looked it up now, I see what you mean and why you thought of it. Not sure if the DnD version maps exactly to the dyadic emotions, but it’s definitely the same concept. I should have said 5E24, that’s my bad.

As a GM, which monster do you find the most difficult to role-play?

Ok my mind’s a bit mushy right now, so I might have to google ‘dyadic emotions’ later. But for now, this is what I was talking about… Previously in 5E14 they only had 4 or 5 emotions, I think. I really like that Magenta is kind of a mystery. 🤯

As a GM, which monster do you find the most difficult to role-play?

I added one as an NPC (using the sidekick rules) I thought it would be easy, being just a few simple colour-coded emotions to express. I know the 24 rules added more colours/emotions. So, maybe that will help in future?

D&D 5E (2024) No way to end Rage on your turn with 2024 rules?

I still can't tell if you're arguing or agreeing, lol. Just to clarify, do you think the Barbarian has to give up a complete round in order to end their rage under the new rules as per the OP interpretation?

D&D 5E (2024) Here's The Covers of BOTH of November's Forgotten Realms Books

The only reason I find that you think this looks like AI art is: 'Very bland background. Odd facial features' Neither of these statements relate to the covers of the books in question or AI art, IMO. Personally I look for too many fingers or weird blurring or clipping of images when trying to...

D&D 5E (2024) No way to end Rage on your turn with 2024 rules?

My apologies, I must have brain fog this morning, no matter how many times I read this, I can't work out if you're arguing or agreeing with me?

D&D 5E (2024) No way to end Rage on your turn with 2024 rules?

This was my reading as well, although I can see how others would interpret it differently. Which is why I suggested checking with the DM.

D&D 5E (2024) No way to end Rage on your turn with 2024 rules?

Oh yeah, that sounds right. Forgot that bit. I've been playing a Barbarian/Druid for a couple of years now (although we didn't switch this campaign to 5E24). I think I've always cast my spells before going into a rage, personally, because when raging I don't think my character would be making...

D&D 5E (2024) No way to end Rage on your turn with 2024 rules?

You choose to prolong the rage each round. So basically you can just choose to not extend your rage for the next turn. In effect, it means you no longer have to use a bonus action to end it. (This is from memory, I don't have the book in front of me at the moment)

D&D 5E (2024) Here's The Covers of BOTH of November's Forgotten Realms Books

There are plenty of old book covers with characters posing that no one complained about. Personally, I think people just prefer the way oil paintings look.
