Do monsters die at 0 HP or -10 hp?

Yes. Undead, and constructs, die when they reach 0 hit points.

Top 10 Greatest Adventures IN the Dungeon Magazine

Don't know about that one, but there is one adventure, named something like Jacob's Well, that is basically a fantasy remake of the first Alien movie. It's really quite good.

Top 10 Greatest Adventures IN the Dungeon Magazine

My favorite Dungeon adventure is The ghost of Mistmoor. I also quite like The Wererats of Relfren. Can't really suggest any 3E ones, though.

Knowledge skills house rule - Planescape related

I considered that. In fact, it was my inspiration for letting people make knowledge rolls for adjacent planes, but with a penalty. The thing is, I love having a list of knowledge skills. It makes it easier to design NPCs. Also, if you can literally take knowledge skills in everything, then it...

Knowledge skills house rule - Planescape related

Hey, you're right ! Never noticed that in 3.5. Makes sense, what with the more tightly defined knowledge skills in 3.5. I got the idea of splitting the knowledges per plane from a Planescape 3E document I found on a website. After all, in 2E, each plane had its own proficiency to know what was...

Knowledge skills house rule - Planescape related

Hello. I have recently acquired a nearly complete collection of Planescape books. I'm currently reading through them and taking lots of notes, as well as starting to convert concepts to 3E. One problem I have ran into is knowledge skills, especially the Knowledge (The Planes) skill. It seems...

    [MMIII] Yes. Thank you.

Does anyone have a link to a website or review with a list of all monsters in there ?

    The Grudge

I have. It's really very freaky. Very much in the same style as The Ring. I'm leery about the american version. On one hand, it is supposedly done by the same guy as the original. On the other hand, my mind has this crazy association of Sarah Michelle Gellar kicking supernatural evil butt that...

D&D 3.x Complaining about 3.5 weapon size rules

Yeah. If I had to fight an ogre in melee, I would want the longest weapon I could find. In that sense, reach weapons make perfect sense. In the same way, were I a halfling that fights humans and orcs, I would love a reach weapon. (Well, a bow is better, but you don't always write the rules.)

Help! Where's the Yuan-ti in the SRD?

Yeah, signature monsters like the yuan-ti, the mind flayer and the carrion crawler are not open gaming content. WotC really needs exclusive use of the carrion crawler, you know.

D&D 3.x Complaining about 3.5 weapon size rules

The problem with that rule is not that it's not better than the old rule. It's that it resolves a really really minor issue and creates some confusion for people who used to play 3.0 (very little confusion, but still). If they had used that rule for the original 3E, nobody would be complaining...

No Mind Flayer in the SRD?

That's not silly. Now copyrighting the Carrion Crawler, that is silly. :D

    drowning a Fire elemental

Elementals of all types don't need to eat, breathe or sleep. It's in the description of the elemental type. Thus, no drowning. It's fortunate, because oxygen is rare in the elemental planes. Except the plane of Air, of course. :) This makes me wonder how outsiders originating from those planes...

Options for paladins instead of summoning a mount?

It's definitely not the answer you're seeking, but in my campaign, since I hate Pokémounts, I told the paladin he could have a celestial warhorse in exchange for being able to summon it back and forth.

    Secret Doors: Elves vs. Rogues

The only thing I find odd is that non-rogue elves have super fine senses, so they are able to find secret doors without looking for them, while non-elf rogues have super fine senses, so they are able to find DC20+ traps, but only find secret doors if they look for them. :) It's not game...

    Paladin of the CatLord?

All good suggestions so far, but I'd still add something about being good. We are talking about a paladin, after all. :D

Paladin of Torm / PCs Frustrated with Cormyr

Usually, Lawful Good characters like laws because they benefit the common good, not for their own sake. Hence, if ALL that the local authorities do for them is harass them and put obstacles in their ways, then sure they are going to be disabused. Ideally, when adventuring in a Lawful and...
