How do you fight a god? Four gods?

Yeah, but was it "roll 4d6 drop the lowest, in front of the DM", or "roll 4d6 at home, drop the lowest" ? :) Also, to be completely fair, you would have to use balanced dice and a cup to roll the dice. I know a guy who can roll a 6 50% of the time on any d6. :)

D&D 3.x Catalog of 3.5 Creatures and their DR

Hey, with all that alignment based DR, neutrality got the shaft !

    D&D 3.x [3.0 -> 3.5] Acid Fog to Zone of Truth

Re: Acid Fog to Disintegrate Dang ! That was a really useful spell, flavor text notwithstanding.

    D&D 3.x [3.5] No more Smite Evil/Critical ?

It's a possibility, yes. Especially seeing as I just thought to check the Glossary ( @ me) and it does specify added damage dice. I think now that there is a possibility that they meant to change it with 3.5 and forgot to change the glossary, but it is more likely to be just a typo...

D&D 3.x [3.5] What changes to the Ring of Jumping?

Exactly, you needed huge amounts of Jump skills to do anything worthwhile. I mean, last game, or barbarian (thus with a bonus for fast movement) with a few ranks in jump, a great strength and a ring of jumping could barely jump up to a 13' high balcony. That is with a +30 bonus. We thought...

    D&D 3.x [3.5] No more Smite Evil/Critical ?

I don't know if I'm reading this right. The critical hits section of the 3.5 PHB (p.140) says (Emphasis mine) Now, in 3.0, the rule was clearer. When you added extra dice to the damage, it wasn't modified, but extra damage was. No sign of a distinction between extra damage and extra dice...

    D&D 3.x [3.5]Worst change (IMHO)

The only use I ever got out of the apprentice thingie was that we sometimes require training to multiclass if it involves completely new skill sets (and especially becoming a wizard). So, if you wanted to play a multiclassed wizard and didn't want to stop the campaign for months or years of...

Rant about (lack of) info in new 3.5 conversion guide

Assuming that your memory is 100% accurate, then they didn't lie. The conversion/accessory thing WITH the SRD3.5 are going to be all that you need. :)

Is there still innovation in the RPG industry?

The Babylon 5 rpg used that too. Don't laugh. :) It's a great mechanic and I intend to use it whenever they come up with a advantage/disadvantage system for Exalted.

    D&D 3.x [3.5] Size replaced by Handedness?

That could work, but I have found banning weapons to be simpler. Everbody does d8 damage per attack (plus other modifiers). They are free to describe their attacks as using weapons, but this is only flavor text.

    The wolf damage mystery

Since they use only one natural weapon, their strength bonus to damage is multiplied by 1.5 as if they were using a two-handed weapon. Edited to correct a typo. Twice.

D&D 3.x [3.5] Rhakshasa scoop [Possibly spoiler for players]

Er... Belphanior ... You could always kill a Rakshasa by lowering it's hps to -10 like anything else. It was a special vulnerability, not an invulnerability power.

D&D 3.x [3.5] Rhakshasa scoop [Possibly spoiler for players]

So basically, they nerfed it across the board and upped the CR ? Wow.

Magic Item Cost: Staff of Magi

Actually, it's the fact that it can be recharged indefinitely without cost and thus has effectively infinite charges over its lifetime.

Magic Item Cost: Staff of Magi

Key word being "our" rules. There is no non-artifact magical item in the DMG or any other WotC source (that I'm aware of) that has both charges and unlimited recharging capabilities. Staves are priced according to 50 charges and then the item is gone. Removing that restriction makes the...

Magic Item Cost: Staff of Magi

The reason why the staff is an artifact and isn't priced is because of the unlimited recharging. This is where you're going to run into some difficulties, IMO.

[3.5] Cohorts no longer gobble up party XP

Some of you really seem to think that D&D is competitive. In our games, when a PC takes leadership, it is always to fill in a hole in the party capabilities. All (or most) of the PCs agree that there is a need for a NPC and the one with the charisma usually agree to pay the feat cost. Thus...
