Dead in a Blade Barrier, what happens to the stuff?

I agree. Besides, Stalker, are you really suggesting giving an unmoving object a reflex save ?

Dungeon of the Fire Opal, Part VI

The guard hands a bunch of silver pieces back to Murhid (8, in fact), saying "Here you go, sir. There are several inns right on the other side of this gate. All of Teziir's establishments are good places to rest, sir." Meanwhile, a guard near the guardhouse says in a low voice "So she's your...

Dungeon of the Fire Opal, Part VI

Doesn't look like it... One of the guards points at Kytess' chain as she's about to enter town. "Sorry, miss. You'll have to stow that thing away while you're in town. Put it in a bag or something..."

    Shooting into Melee

That one is simple. Shooting in melee is not about cover. There's a separate modifier for that, if dwarf is between the archer and the giant. That modifier will be smaller in the case that you mentioned than if the dwarf was fighting a human. Also, you can't shoot your friend if you're...

Dungeon of the Fire Opal, Part VI

The guards continue to eye the heavily armed travellers suspiciously and one steps forward. "Gate fees for foreigners is one silver piece per person. No naked weapons are permitted in the city and bows and crossbows have to be unstrung at all times. Do not make trouble and you will find your...

Dungeon of the Fire Opal, Part VI

Works for me. I didn't want to interrupt that exchange. It was like watching a tennis match, really. :D A detect magic spell cast by (someone) reveals that the pretties are not magical in any way. The party takes the northbound trail leading to the Dragon Coast, and away from the Giant's Run...

    Update: Sorcerer/MotAO/ES (Air) for RttToEE.

In the RttToEE I DM, there is an Elemental Savant. She's a wizard, though. She has an intelligence around 20, spell focus and greater spell focus (evocation) and prepares nothing but ice spells. I have to tell you, as DM, that those saving throw DCs are ungodly. Something like 23 for a...

Dungeon of the Fire Opal, Part VI

Here you go. Rolled a 11. -1 (skill). -4 (circumstance penalty due to wisdom) = 6

Dungeon of the Fire Opal, Part VI

The serving girl brings Taz a plate of steaming meat and vegetables, along with a second beer and a handful of silver pieces for Kytess (9 to be exact).

The waittress holds her hand palm-up and gestures at Kytess. Maybe she wants something...

Dungeon of the Fire Opal, Part VI

[/i]By the position of the sun and the grumbling of your stomach, Murhid would guess that it is slightly after normal dinnertime. A young woman brings Kytess some golden, foaming liquid in a mug. Then, she says something, but Kyte can't hear what it is over the background conversation noise.

Dungeon of the Fire Opal, Part VI

"Alas, no, good sir. The magic needed to cure this is quite a bit above my own mastery of divine magic. I'm afraid you'll have to travel to a bigger town to get help." He lowers his voice... "I wouldn't tarry, either. I'm afraid she might get into trouble if she's that way for long."

Dungeon of the Fire Opal, Part VI

Eventually, the group reaches the village... (Yay ! The board works !)

Why do girls get to have all the fun??

How can you have a twinked-out Everquest character while playing occasionally ?!?

    Cleric PrC

By the time you can take the Contemplative class, you can cast Commune and Plane Shift. If with those two, you aren't able to make contact with your deity or a powerful servant, then either : 1) You aren't trying hard enough. or 2) The DM just doesn't want you to become a Contemplative. Of...

Dual and Multiclass Level cap problems.

Hey, I'd be a fighter/wizard/sorcerer with a single level of wizard and sorcerer. :)

The party soon makes its way to the village. (You can always continue this discussion on the way if you want...)

    Incorporeal Vs. Bracers of Armor

That's how I've been playing it. I'm probably not the only one who always makes intelligent undead (and earth elementals) attack with half or more of their bodies in the floor, and thus always having cover unless the PCs are all flying. Right ?

Dungeon of the Fire Opal, Part VI

What will Ubaar do with the gem ?

    Incorporeal Vs. Bracers of Armor

Yeah, I meant for incorporeal attacks. I should have been clearer.
