Wait a minute. Is the character a kalashtar? You haven't directly stated it. I'm asking because you say you took a kalashtar racial substitution level (& that the character is of a naturally psionic race) & I wanted to point out that kalashtar gain one bonus power point per character level.

IIRC, one of the FR books (I think PGtF) has optional rules for playing LA races at 1st level. The gist of it was that a character would have a penalty to all rolls/checks/etc., equal to its level adjustment. Each level after 1st would remove 1 from the penalty (& not give an actual HD level)...

No, that +6 was only taking into account the benefits of DvR 0. No HD of any kind, no ability bonuses (or starting array) of any kind. And remember, DvR 0 doesn't get as much stuff as DvR 1+; no divine bonus to attacks/saves/whatever, no salient divine abilities, etc.

JPL, Over on the Wizards boards, in the Epic one, I've seen it posted at +6 LA. IIRC, Jaerom Darkwind (sp?) stated that, & mentioned a thread where it was generally agreed upon on that that figure was accurate. However, that was without the standard deity starting ability scores that you listed...

IIRC, most detection magic that is always on, is usually denoted as a (su) ability. If it's (sp), then it has it be activated. I think certain outsiders like balors & erinyes have the former type of ability(s).
