Warforged - I've seen them in play, and they are balanced/too weak/too strong.

I played a warforged rogue/psion/elocater for about a dozen sessions (from 1st up to 20th; we level up fast in our games), & he was about balanced. In the early levels, he was almost always hurting for hit points (as there wasn't an artificer in the party), but after he took psionic repair...

Making Persistent Spell to Be Variable

Wow, bumping is magical! ;) Actually, I figured that a persistent divine favor would take up a 6th level slot [as it normally lasts for a set number of minutes (+5 by my HR reckoning), even if it's just 1 minute]. Otherwise, thanks all.

Making Persistent Spell to Be Variable

Uh, I hope it's not considered bad form to bump a thread like this (being 4 days old).

Orcus - which portfolios and domains?

IIRC, Orcus is a god in the Ghostwalk setting... :walks upstairs to grap the book: ...yup, page 85 of Ghostwalk. Listed domains are Chaos, Death, Evil & Undeath. Portfolio is necromancy, torture, pain & undeath.

And the pelvis goes :bump:! And the pelvis goes :bump:! ...How's that?

Who Uses the Favored Class Rules as Written

Yeah, I also agree with Ankh-Morpork Guard & UltimaGabe. One thing to add onto what UltimaGabe said: prestige classes are one of the most common reasons to multiclass, & they ignore the multiclassing penalty entirely, so my group just ignores the whole sitch'. We also ignore the...

    Use Magic Device

No, I don't think that was it. I usually pass on those threads because I disagree. I'll be heading over to the Wizards boards later, so I'll check there. But thanks again.

Making Persistent Spell to Be Variable

Ever since Persistent got upgraded to 3.5, I've had a dislike of it. +6 spell levels for any spell it modifies, no matter the original duration seems a bit unfair, IMO. I never thought about it in 3.0, when it was +4 spell levels. :shrugs: Anyway, after reading about other's similar gripes...

    Use Magic Device

Really? Hmm, could've sworn I read a post (either here or on Wizard's CO forum) that said magic-psionic transparency includes having UMD & UPD be interchangeable. I'll have to try to look that up. Thanks.

    Use Magic Device

So, if using magic-psionic transparency, then either skill can be used for either type of device, but combined ranks are a no-no? That's a but hinky, but, oh well.

    Use Magic Device

On a slightly related note (in so far as it involves UMD), what happens when a character possesses ranks in both UMD & UPD (Use Psionic Device), & the campaign world uses magic-psionic transparency (the two interact with each other as equals, etc.)? Would the character be able to combine the...

    Disjunction and Spell like abilities

Nah, there are easier ways of taking out a colossus: 1. Open a gate to the paraelemental (sp?) plane of magma outside of the am field (& preferably on a downward slope) & burn it with magma. It might take a while (& repeat castings) but the thing can't heal so eventually it'll burn to death...

    Power Attacking Dragon

I took that rule to mean if a creature only has one attack, period, then it got 1.5x Strength bonus to damage, not if it can only attack once (because of movement, etc.).

Defense for Constructs Vs. Inflict Damage Infusions (Eberron)?

Currently he's a rogue 4/swashbuckler 3/psion (shaper) 2/elocater 6 (my group has HR'ed multiclassing penalties away). I tried to build a character that maximizes maneuverability; I think I did a good job. He uses Spring Attack like it's going out of style; he'll prob' marry it some day 'cause...

Defense for Constructs Vs. Inflict Damage Infusions (Eberron)?

Well, my character's Will save is pretty good (& a successful save still means 75 damage, ouch!), so it looks like spell immunity, greater might be the best way to go. Unfortunately, no one in the party can cast it, so he might have to find someone & commission that person to maybe make an item...

Defense for Constructs Vs. Inflict Damage Infusions (Eberron)?

Okay, the inflict damage line of infusions (from Eberron Campaign Setting): are there any defenses against them for constructs? Aside from staying away or getting a high touch AC? ;) I.e., I'm playing a warforged (in Eberron) & the BBEG has already laid the smackdown on my character once (shame...

    Wild Shape?

It's actually called the Mulhorandi divine minion (as the character can be a minion of any Mulhorandi power), & can be found here. But yes, you can use it to enter the MoMF PrC at 2nd level.

Does unarmed strike qualify for the Improved Natural Attack feat?

I'd agree with you. My reasoning is based on opinion & what I think the intent of the feat is. I think it's meant for creatures with natural attacks, along the line of claws, bites, etc. If it did apply to an unarmed strike, I think it would only apply to the base die (for a human, 1d3), & not...

    miss chance and natural 20's

ROTFLMAO :D I like that, & shall use it in that order, RAW or not. And it works both ways. 'll be real funny when my DM's BBEG totally misses my elocater (assuming I can roll that miss chance).

    dual wielding deflect

IIRC, Armed Deflection is an epic feat, & only requires one weapon.
