    unofficial Dragon #364 errata

Good to see most of my errata made it in. I find it odd they didn't fix the crocotta formatting error...seems that would be relatively simple.

    Dragon 365 Table of Contents

That artificer on the cover...where's her navel? Is she a genie?

    Why'd they change the Lamia?

Of course, the old Lamia bore absolutely no resemblence to its mythological roots either. This 25-year-old member of the "anime generation" likes the new one better, so take of that what you will.

    Crocodile grabbing - no AoO?

My interpretation is that it could make a bite attack, at risk of dropping the warlock. If the bite attack succeeds, the warlock is grabbed again and nothing changes, but if it fails then the warlock is free and the spell works.

Does anyone actually like Dragonborn and Tieflings?

Going by the numbers so far, looks like there's a pretty close split on the Dragonborn (51% approve, 39% disapprove), while the Tieflings enjoy a slightly more comfortable 57% approval rating. For my vote, I like them both. Tieflings slightly more than dragonborn, but both are good. These are...

    PHB II in March?

Good catch on that, but I don't think Templar will be it. A bit too Paladinish, and is likely to appear as a paladin Paragon Path in the future.

    PHB II in March?

That leaves the I, T, and W as the new and unknown classes. There was a cryptic comment about witches, warlocks, and wizards before, so my guess for W is a Witch class. Despite the gender connotations, as Wikipedia says, "...in legends and popular culture the stereotype is female; however males...

    Armored Pyjamas

Warning: Personal anecdotes ahead. I'm fully capable of sleeping in my 40 lb ballistic armor. Amazing what you can do when you are totally exhausted. And medieval armor was better distributed, with less weight focused on the shoulders. Even before joining the army, I'd been known to crash...

    Mystery/Detective in DnD

I think it's easier in 4e than it is in previous editions, because of a general nerfing of divinations. No Detect Evil ruining things outright, for example. Rituals can still interfere with mysteries, but they're easier to plan for because of the higher cost and long casting times involved. And...

    Off-hand weapons. Meaningless?

Also, remember you can get two different enchantments on your main and off hand weapons. So it could be worth it if you're fighting something with different vulnerabilities.

    unofficial Dragon #364 errata

Darn, and I already relabeled it once...I thought the "preliminary" would be pretty clear on that.

    unofficial Dragon #364 errata

Duly noted, and changed. Should I remove the suggested fixes altogether and just leave the errors?

    unofficial Dragon #364 errata

I threw this together last night while (very, very) bored. My errata for Dragon 364 so far: Demonomicon of Iggwilv: Yeenoghu p14 Crocotta power Haunting Laughter: Should specify psychic damage in text. p14 Crocotta power Morphic Visage: Formatting error. Uses numbers instead of displayed...

    Reflavoring for CG/LE

Hence why I'm doing a writeup that more clearly distinguishes the CG/LE conflict. This is not meant to exist alongside the existing sytem but replace it for a singular campaign.

    But...but...what will we panic about?

    Teleporting in the Feywild

The ones that worry me are the infernal powers that send the target to Hell. What happens if you use it on a devil? In hell? Easily handwaved by saying there are WORSE parts of Hell, but makes for some amusing logic gaps.

    Sleep & Unconsciousness

But there are other dailies that cause unconsciousness, and even monster abilities meant to be used on an unconscious target have to specify that it does not wake up. Also, as has been pointed out this is a spell that actually gets BETTER as you level, instead of being left in the dust like most...

    The Compendium is Live

This is still a beta I'm sure. Heck, they haven't even announced it yet on the news page, so it may even go down in a few hours like last time.

    Collected Core Handbook Errata

    P. 80, "Come and Get It" Fighter attack 7. Nearly identical to the higher level power Warrior's Urging, which has the Charm keyword. This should also have the Charm keyword, or neither should.

Why Shouldn't I Ban "Come and Get It"?

There are no truly mindless things in 4e (no non-abilities), so even the gelatinous cube has SOME intelligence to it. This is clearly a mook-clearing attack, so perhaps my narrativist sensibility is showing when I say I like it. I've seen it a million times in action movies, anime, etc. where...
