    Sleeping in armor?

I can personally attest that you can sleep in armor. Before I joined the military, I dozed off on the couch in motorcycle leathers (sans helmet and boots). that stuff is stiff and has protective plates in it, but it's perfectly possible to sleep in. Light armor is sleepable. In the military...

Magic Rings - no level restriction?

Can't find the example where someone said they were considering legal action to prevent 4e from being produced (old Concerns and Criticisms board), but here's a prime example: http://forums.gleemax.com/showpost.php?p=16002506&postcount=6 The one where he describes 4e as making him vomit is one...

    D&D 4E 4E errata up on wizards.com

Not yet. I think the problem is figuring out just what to do with it, since by itself its not overly broken. The problem comes with rerolls. If it were to simply say that you could not use rerolls on it, or a reroll still ended the chain, then it would be brought down to normal.

Magic Rings - no level restriction?

yet it is an apt description of some of the posts I've seen. You can't tell me that someone screaming in ALL CAPS and italics that Wizards is destroying D&D by pandering to 12 year old mmo anime fanboys while swearing up and down that they would do anything legally (or even illegally) possible...

Warforged - new benchmark for racial stats/abilities

Any blood draining attack still works on warforged. This was true in 3e, it still is true in 4e. Why? They still have vital fluid that, while not truly blood, is close enough for most purposes. A vampire might drink a warforged and go "*pfffft!* Gross!" but the attack still works.

Warforged - new benchmark for racial stats/abilities

Staying perma-bloodied is a less attractive option than it looks at first glance, because there are a lot of abilities that work better on a bloodied enemy. I will put in for "balanced" on the warforged. They get a lot of nice abilities, but their racial stat bonuses are suboptimal because of...

    Amazon Orphans unite!

I'm in South Korea, so I have no choice but to order online. No FLGS to support. The "best" part is that even after it ships, I still have a week or two before it shows up.

    Dragon & Dungeon Article reviews

Geez, didn't expect the hyena thing to get this much attention. Like I said about the Realms article, perhaps as a non-fan I'm not qualified to review it. But, this is not hating, this is reviewing, you'll note not even the articles I liked got a perfect score. I just saw it as by far the...

    Naming the world

So far, the core setting does not have a name. PoL was an early design concept, not a name for the setting. Already, it is starting to be filled out by articles and books. The Tiefling empire of Bael Turath, the dragonborn empire of Arkhosia...the Yeenoghu article was a great example...

    Dragon & Dungeon Article reviews

Now that some articles are out, I think I will take this opportunity to rate them. Please feel free to criticize my entirely biased opinions: KotS in Eberron: I like this. Very interesting article. Lots of intrigue, good previews of how some things will work in Eberron. All done by not altering...

    20% item resale value: impossible!

I dunno, I see magic items as more "used gun." "Gun for sale. Only used once. Name your own price, seller moving soon."

    Dragons are kinda boring...

I sometimes wonder if I'm reading the same book...I was thoroughly impressed with how well they differentiated each one of the dragons. The ancient dragons are true terrors with a wide variety of ways to ruin your day. Even the lower level ones are wildly different. A white will tear into you...

    Build me a Halberd+Puffysleeves Gentleman.

It's suggested in the DMG that for a swashbuckling campaign, you scale down armor but keep the same bonus. So, for example, Plate armor becomes a breastplate, scale would just be lamellar or something similar. Same bonus, different appearance.

    D&D 4E 4e FAQ

Masterwork armor has two tiers. The first tier only appears as +4 armor or above and the second tier only appears as +6 armor. For light armor, going up a tier grants an additional +1 AC, while for heavy it grants an additional +3. There is no extra cost associated with masterwork armor, and the...

    Sleep spell....overpowered?

It's odd..virtually every other power in the book that renders opponents unconscious says they wake up when injured. The rest and sleep section of the PHB gives rules for it too. But it doesn't say that creatures wake up from Sleep when injured. Until official word otherwise, I will rule they do.

Hairy boobs? Then you'd love the bugbear strangler. Furry boobs you could lose a small dog in.

    Dwarf boobs

Remember a few months ago, all the hubbub over dragonboobs? Well, having looked through the books, I don't find the dragonboobs anywhere near as distracting as the Dwarven boobs. Seriously, maybe it's because of the total lack of female dwarves in previous editions, but the new female dwarves...
