That was my question, too! :) I think either way could conceivably work, depending on what the overall story is about. Actually, if you're gonna be doing a campaign heavily focusing on Dragonmarks, why not havce each of the PC's get an Abberant Dragonmark as a "Freebie Feat" to start with...

Wow; that editoral left me a bit cold. I was apathetic about 4E when it was annouced, and I'm still apathetic about it. But that editorial makes me feel like a Grognard. What about the (possibly sizable) group of people that have no intention of upgrading? There IS still six months to go...

Well I'm pleased that they're repirinting the Dark Sun novels, I'll agree with the majority that the "Prism Pentad" was fairly mediocre overall, though anything that generates interest in the Dark Sun campaign setting is OK by me. Tangentially; does anyone know how the reprinted Ravenloft novel...

What Umbran said. I'm fairly apathetic about 4E, (though I'm honestly not a fan of what we've seen so far) and my group is hesitant to change anyway, given we're involved in the AoW campagn. So, to the OP? I guess my answer is "No, I'm not coming around yet."

Having read both "Elantris" and "Mistborn", I have no doubt that Sanderson will do justice to the final volume of the Wheel of Time.
