Forget where I read it ("Dragon" magazine, maybe?), but my favorite comparison for Chaotic Neutral is "Daffy Duck". In some cartoons, he is the "Hero", in others "The Villian". But the one consistent thing is that he is typically "out for himself" and (relatively) "amoral".
