    Steampunk Empire Strikes Back

That is pretty cool stuff. I prefer the Boba Fett from his Re-visions Star Wars. The eye-holes on his helmet in the Steampunk version are too far apart. Unless he's got eyes like a fish under there, he'd have trouble seeing straight ahead (though his peripheral vision would be just fine :p )...

Watchmen Trailer is up at YouTube

"The End is the Beginning is the End." I think it was from Batman Forever, right about the time the Pumpkins were riding high from Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. As far as the trailer, I think it looks promising. We'll see if audiences appreciate it though (I'm worried that they won't :( )

Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time Series"

Yeah. I'm not sure if what he's doing is against board rules or anything, but I always enjoy his posts.

    Saw Hellboy II at preview

I saw it tonight. While it didn't quite live up to my expectations, I still thought it was fun and enjoyable. Visually it was fantastic (better than the first I'd say). Perlman was great as Hellboy as usual. I've never had a problem with Selma Blair and she was pretty much the same as the first...

    Elfquest to become movie

    Truth.

    Elfquest to become movie

Yeah, it could be tough to pull off live action. I dunno, part of me would really like to see it as traditional animation rather than CG, but those seem to be a dying breed outside of anime now a days.

Hancock - has anyone seen it?

Some degree of foreshadowing is necessary as well. A "plot twist" that comes out of nowhere and completely changes the story is just shoddy writing, IMO.

The Dark Knight.. as written by Michael Bay

    That was teh funnies.

    Wall-E

I saw it this afternoon and it is my favorite movie of the year. It was amazing (particularly the scenes on Earth). It is the first time our 3 year old son has sat through an entire movie. He was into it the whole time. Fantastic movie. :)

    Saw Hellboy II at preview

I saw a trailer for this at the Hulk tonight. It looks really good. I can't wait to see it.

    The Incredible Hulk

Rather than tag this all, I'll just warn that minor spoilers are below... Saw it tonight. It was quite well done. As others said, it is not quite on the level of Iron Man but was still good. It was definitely better than Ang Lee's version; it moved along better and had better action scenes. I...

    Batman: The Dark Knight

How? By offing Mysterio? Somebody should have done that 30 years ago. Now, if you're talking about never finishing Bullseye: the Target or Spider Man/Black Cat, you may have a point. Not sure if that counts as "screwing" comic readers though.

Sequel to 300 on the way

I think from a technical standpoint, it went to show that a movie filmed entirely in front of a green screen could be successful (although Sin City probably should be given credit for breaking that ground, I think). That, and it's making people forget that Frank Miller was also involved with...

    Batman: The Dark Knight

Heh, I think he's admitted that he has something of a blind spot when it comes to Star Wars though.

    Watchmen shouldn't be a movie

I had heard somewhere that Moore has basically said that the screenplay for the Watchmen movie is about as good and faithful as it could have been. It wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement, but he seemed to be giving the makers of the flick some credit for effort. And beyond that, he doesn't...

    ONG BAK II Trailer

That looks badass, but it doesn't appear to be a direct sequel to Ong Bak I (not that that is a problem, merely an observation...)
  18. Darth Shoju

    The Incredible Hulk

True. But then again, after seeing Harrison Ford try out a Russian accent in K-19, maybe it was for the best that Sean stuck with the brogue. ;) Yeah. I think that's what happens when a series isn't selling as well as expected. They try a reboot, if that doesn't work they pull out anything...

    The Incredible Hulk

I really enjoyed PAD's run on Hulk as well -- so much so that I collected the entire Captain Marvel series he did (which wasn't as good, but had its moments). He's a pretty talented writer IMO: maybe it's from hanging out with JM Strazinsky and Harlan Ellison... (Whew...I'll stop spamming the...
