I've been mostly enjoying the episodic content, but the introduction of a well-written meta plot would bump it up to the next level of entertainment for me.
I dunno, I really enjoyed all the over the top stuff. They've always hinted that guys like Yoda were incredibly powerful, so I thought it was cool to finally see what they could do.
I guess for me, Star Wars has never been about subtlety anyway. ;)
I did some work experience with a local VR company when I was in highschool. They made VR helmets, and their claim to fame was having their product appear in an episode of Seaquest: DSV. I believe it was around 1995 when I was there, and I was pretty disappointed with the technology (though the...
Maybe Anakin was working from some plans he had for that standard model of droid, and didn't invent him from scratch at all. Or maybe he was just putting together a "kit droid."
:p
I dunno, for some reason that aspect never really bugged me at all. The midichlorians thing did, because it...
I'm sorry, but I'd take Spielberg over Lucas any day. Besides, it's not like that alteration to ET erases his resume of films. He's a damn fine director, and one of the most influential of all time.
But either of them is a better director in his sleep than Uwe *. Heck, I'd take the kid who...
Yeah. I had heard that when you count that, and factor in DVD and PPV sales, his movies end up being profitable (if only marginally). It will be interesting to see what happens to Uwe when he no longer has that little loophole to exploit.
Ah well, at least I can honestly say I've never seen...
Yeah, what the hell is up with those 15-minute denouments at the end of each episode? Where we get a bunch of fairly pointless conversations between characters (often featuring some Clark and Lana relationship angst) with background music of the latest pop band they are pimping for the week...
I completely agree. I really enjoyed his work on the original series, and while the new books are well done, they just don't have the same magic he worked on them IMO.
LOL awesome.
No, that was pretty spot-on casting right there.
:D
I dunno, I'd put it at the same level as Daredevil and The Punisher (though I own X3 and Daredevil on DVD, I can't say I'll ever buy the Punisher, so maybe I shouldn't put them on the same level). Certainly when compared to the first two X-men movies it doesn't stack up favorably at all.
Me too. I'm with D.Shaffer in that I'd rather see Commando Snake-Eyes, but all things considered this costume looks pretty decent. I'll be super happy if he wields an uzi and a spike-knuckle trench knife at some point.
More off-topic, but I was actually enjoying the Lone Gunman way more than X-files at that point, and was really pissed when they canceled it and then killed the Gunmen off on the X-Files
I've always told myself that they started work on Death Star II shortly after they started DS I.
That, and a whole lot of "innocent" contractors got massacred on the second one.
:p
It looks pretty good so far. Snake Eyes' costume looks a little artificial, but it is just a promo still, so it will probably look much better in the movie. I like the fact that it has the Arashikage (spelling?) clan symbol on his arm.
Does one scream "I'm British!" when you look at them? :p
I wonder which one us Canucks will get? I think we tend to get the American covers. If I had my choice, I guess I'd go with the sword-hilt one.
LOL I was thinking the same thing. I particularly laughed at his renditions of Lan (assuming that's who it was supposed to be -- he looked like some sort of samurai or something).
