Yeah what is up with that? I would figure that a series as successful as this could spring for a decent cover artist (Lockwood anyone?). Or do they figure this book would sell with a dead fish for a cover, so they're allocating resources to the books that need them? :\

A TV series actually. I've never read them, so I can't comment. Interesting that these books are the only thing the guy has ever written, and he apparently wasn't a writer until he sat down to write them. As an aspiring writer, I'm not sure if I find that encouraging or depressing.

I got caught by that too, but luckily I was up and about at the time and it was on two different channels here at different times. The second Ep featured the origin of -- and subsequent battle against -- Electro, plus some more development of the Dr. Connors/Lizard plotline foreshadowing.
