I think the Athar as a faction have gotten a lot more relevant now, as they've always said "The Gods are frauds".

Planescape starting from 2e has factions like the Athar where Clerics don't need gods at all.

Eberron back in 3e had clerics who didn't match the alignment of their Gods, and Keith Baker explained that's just how things are. They're keeping things in line with how they've been in Eberron, and it makes things interesting at least with NPCs in that a Cleric of a Good aligned God might be...

I had some questions about the Lore Glossary but it was lost in this thread. Though it was a subjective question, about any surprises about what was included or not included.

Looks like they're still maintaining one of the events from the Planescape module Dead Gods, where Bwimb was killed by Orcus and his daughter Bwimb II took his place.

They've stated a few times in a few places that no one can truly map out the planes accurately, but the Great Wheel is the best one they have to mapping out the planes.

I don't see Birthright or Mystara in that list, and I'd personally think those settings would be less likely to get mentioned than Dark Sun.

My idea for the Aasimar one was that they got the fly speed of 30 feet always, but when using heavenly wings the fly speed increased by 30 feet.

People have generally described Flan as being like Indigenous North Americans, and Baklunish as being Turkish, so that's what I generally associate them with.

3e had the iconic characters of Ember the Monk and Hennet the Sorcerer who are Humans from Oerth, and do not resemble any of the typical ethnic groups that the Flan, Oeridians, Baklunish, Suel, Olman and Rhennee are often compared to.
