    suggestions for an orc wedding?

Good idea. Just be sure to stay away from whole roast pig or boar. You wouldn't want to offend any of the bride's family, after all. :p

    Gamer Fashion

I've really never thought about what I'm wearing. I've certainly never put on (or removed) an article of clothing specifically for gaming.

    Does age affect CR?

The title is fairly self-explanatory. Does (or should) age affect the challenge rating of a creature? In my upcoming Wilderlands campaign I have a human wererat (Rogue 4) who ambushes characters by ferrying them across a river in a rickety boat rigged to sink halfway across. Once the boat...

What type(s) of environment are you primarily campaigning in?

Notice that no matter how many options available there will always be someone who chooses "Other?" Well, same here. My last campaign centered on a Final Fantasy-obsessed player's love of airships. Once he acquired the thing, most of the campaign was spent in the air. So, I suppose Aerial. My...

    Complete complete series?

According to the thesaurus we could have any of the aforementioned plus Complete Hero, Complete Protagonist, Complete Legionnaire, Complete Partisan, Complete Veteran...no matter what they call it, it should deal with martial characters of all stripes. Hopefully focusing on secular combatants as...

    Oriental Adventures Material updated?

The update was in Dragon #318, but the original post asks for material other than the Dragon magazine article.

What percentage of your RPG time are you DMing?

I DM 100% of the time. Although, I did play in a one-shot campaign about five years ago, it didn't really seem enough to warrant dropping into the 81-99% category.

    Name that race

Gulo Gulo is the binomial (Genus and Species) name for a wolverine. You could do something like Dwergulo/Zwergulo, but it would sound a bit too much like fans of the ICP...which is never a good thing. Or even switch it around...Gulodwerg.

Searching for a specific Prestige Class

No problem. It's Scarlet Corsair, by the way. Scarlett with the extra 't' is for ladies like Miss Johansson. I'd say that was your problem in the online search. Don't worry...I don't own any Eberron books either.

5 Level Prestige Classes - Love or Hate?

Personally, I think that prestige classes shouldn't be bound by the idea of 5 or 10 levels. True there are quite a few 3 level prestige classes and a handful using other numbers, but my point is that prestige classes shouldn't necessarily be so uniform in the number of levels. My favorite...

How do your characters deal with potions?

Potions aren't nearly as common in my campaign as they probably are in others. Not quite sure why this is, actually.

Do ogres look more like shrek..orcs like LotR?

First of all, this is a great thread! It's interesting that it began as a whether creatures are inspired by books or film, but video games seem to have played a major role for most folks. A few comments... I poured so much money into Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom that I sort of feel like...

Giants in the Earth discussion: Jack Sparrow and Pirates of the Carribean

I'm not going to commit to any numbers, but certainly a high Charisma and Dexterity score. Probably a slightly above average Constitution and Intelligence. Strength would be average. Wisdom would be his weak spot (dump stat). As for his level, I'd see him in the 6-10 range.

How's this? Seems to rely a bit on the bard, but there's a lot of support for bardic pirates.

Giants in the Earth discussion: Jack Sparrow and Pirates of the Carribean

Alternative cheese (let's say gouda): The "Dashing and Daring" feat from AEG's Swashbuckling Adventures. Requires BAB +4, Dexterity 13+, Charisma 13+. Pretty sure Jack qualifies. It essentially does the same thing as "Reckless Abandon," with two important differences: First, "Dashing and...

Do You Have An Ioun Stone?

Ioun stones don't exist in my campaigns. I've always found them to be somewhat annoying, actually. Perhaps if I included Illumians (not bloody likely) they'd see more action. I mean, really, what's one more thing floating around your head? Perhaps, I'd have a really ancient Illumian astrologer...
