    variant Multiclass

Why not just give combat superiority once per encounter? That's still pretty good, but not overly so (wis bonus to a single oa, and stop the opponent).

    variant Multiclass

I also agree. At one time I was very gung ho for free-form multiclass, but I have since changed my opinion after seeing a few crazy builds. I think an at-will as an encounter is a nice compromise.

    Powers for specific weapons....

Well, personally, I allow clubs as well. And I've made clubs off-hand.

I don't optimize. Forked Thread: Dragon Magazine #365's Character Concepts

One can (Edit) optimize and still play characters one likes, with cool abilities that are effective and have a good time. Optimization does not have to create cookie cutter builds (I don't know what rules-wankery means!- is that an aussi term?) and does not obscure personalization. One can...

    Minions and Temporary Hit Points

If you really want to bother, I'd say they can benefit from temp hp, but those extra hp can be depleted on a miss.

    Dwarven Steamfist and others

Well, I'm trying to get a feel for the fluff of a thing. What does it mean when you "ignite" a steam fist? When I read the title, I thought it was an oversized gauntlet that extended suddenly, via steam power, putting an extra oomph into an unarmed attack (think the bad cyborg in robocop 2...

    Nifft's Multi-Classing Revision

It is quite daunting for a wizard to m/c into a fighter, even if they are a human, dwarf or elf. AP: Leather(1) AP: Chain (2) WP: any martial weapon (3) (2 for elf or dwarf) AP: Shield (4/3) Training: Atheletics(5/4) So, 5 feats or 4 unless you are a race that gets a martial weapon...

    Considering Heroic Paths

I don't think it does, but really, who cares. It's a good idea for m/c. You can always call yourself a freedom fighter no matter what class you are. Others will call you a terrorist and that's ok. :D I think the idea is to just focus on base classes and racial "paragon" classes to use a 3e...

    Considering Heroic Paths

That's a good start. I think it should be a little more aggressive than this however. I was thinking something like healing word (+) 1/encounter or a first level at-will. Either way, they should get the skill (religion unless they already have it in this case.) Also, they should qualify as a...

    Considering Heroic Paths

This is an exceptionally good idea. I have to keep an eye on this one.

    DM's Toolkit Program--NOW AVAILABLE!

How advanced is it at this point? I "found" a copy that I have only recently tried. I did have some issues with the viewer. However, it is possible this issue has been solved (where does it say which version I have?). I sent the feedback to my mysterious benefactor (NOT EL). Should I post...

Excellent! If you could, please update the first post (with dates if you like).

    Grading Encounter Attack Powers

Could we get a rating for racial/class encounter powers? Also, a utility thread would be great.

    Grading At-Will Powers

A request. I've found this to be quite helpful. Do you think you could do class abilities such as cantrips?

Technomagicon: Craft Skill (v2) & Ordinary People (v4) [Updated 06Jul08]

I just want to pipe in and say I love all the thought you have put into this. I don't have any comment right now (still digesting it all) but I'll let you know. Keep it up!

TS' Book of Heroic Might: Alignment as it is Meant to Be

Yeah, I'm a real cthulhu fan. I don't have any "official" alignments IMC. Demons and such do have a certain... emanation, however. As for the gods- think ebberon/ravenloft. I was really happy to read clerics don't lose their powers if they act contrary to their deity/faith (I use faiths not...

    Nifft's House Rules

Oh yeah, one more. Wherever a rogue power or class feature requires a "light blade" add "or one handed simple melee weapon".

    Nifft's House Rules

Man I can't ignore it. It really bugs me actually. For the most part they avoided the "dodge" traps of 3.x but this one looks like an ugly wart to me. Ugly with puss oozing. And it's a fairly cool name so I don't want to just get rid of it. Perhaps I could make DoS just like SSS but target...
