    Marked Advantage?

Bold mine. This seems to imply that you can mark your opponent regardless of whether you hit or not.

GSL questions for Scott Rouse and Mike Lescault

Agreed. The thing about AU especially was that it could be used with the PHB with no problem. There was no alt. rogue or ranger for example(though the warmein could be seen as an alt. fighter).

    Implements

    HEY! He-Man is AWESOME! :D

    Implements

This may have changed. *Hoping the rogue has the same penalties as a wizard without an implement and is not just (mostly) powerless*.

Keep em' coming guys. This is great stuff!

GSL questions for Scott Rouse and Mike Lescault

So, I'm getting the impression that there won't be any variant PHB's... That would make me very sad. My wife and wallet will be happy however. Those games never stopped me from purchasing WotC stuff. They did excite me about d20 however.

D&D 4E 4e Hitpoints are modelled after quantum mechanics

Ahh, yes. Nobody knows the value of X. Therefore x has no value. EDIT: Sorry, all values. But honestly, I don't see the difference.

D&D 4E 4e Hitpoints are modelled after quantum mechanics

It's my understanding that all things are not necessarily true until observed. Isn't it that all things are possible until observed? In the case of SC, the cat is either alive or dead. It is my understanding that there is a lot of confusion regarding the term "observer." We do not shoot...

D&D 4E 4e Hitpoints are modelled after quantum mechanics

This is very creative DB and makes sense within the D&D concept of life and death; you're either tired and need to sleep for 6 hours, or you're dead. As for stats, I'd like to see Descartes's ball of wax. Does the ball of wax attack your will or do you save to realize it's the same thing...

GSL questions for Scott Rouse and Mike Lescault

I wish you good luck as well. It's something I'm interested in hearing about also.

[Speculative] Rivals or What level adjust to you put on PC glow?

Yeah, wasn't there some sort of "xp value" for pc's as well as monsters? I seem to remember the idea is to balance out the xp values of all pc's with the xp values of the monsters they can face in a single encounter. So, in this case, an NPC with pc levels will = 1 pc (assuming they are the...

    Thievery Skill

Yeah, I bet trapfinding is for trained users only. I could easily see SoH as either thievery or stealth but it's probably thievery IMO. One would have to use thievery to pick the pockets and stealth to get lost in the crowd.

    D&D 4E 4E Liker - anything you worry about?

Fear 1: The GSL. Fear 2: Condition tracking, especially saving throws, will be a PitA. Fear 3: Restrictions. Exhibit 3.1: You can't attempt a trip or disarm. Exhibit 3.2: Rogues seem to be forced to use small blades. (hoping this has changed) Minor fear: Multiclassing.

Classes ... Much Less Flexible than Advertised

I seemed angry? Must be the avatar. :D I assume they are not being deceptive and m/c is more than just a feat. EDIT: I see. I should have said, "... would be deceptive."

Classes ... Much Less Flexible than Advertised

Sure we are stuck in the 3.x box but what else do we have to go on? When I use the term 'class' among non-gamers I understand that they will assume I am referring to the R/L definetion. When a dev uses the term 'multi classed' to us (s)he has to know most of us will assume that (s)he means...

Classes ... Much Less Flexible than Advertised

I doubt the limits are completely arbitrary. I remember a playtest report about a rogue that went around with a great axe because the damage was just too good. I think they could have (and maybe they did?) made some sort of compromise. Perhaps there is a feat that allows sneak attack with...

D&D 4E 4e house rules based on the rogue preview

Hitborn, heh. It is a good sign he doesn't feel the need to house rule. StiII, I wonder if a longsword weilding fighter/rogue (for example) will work.

    D&D 4E The 4E Rogue...love it or hate it?

Any chance we could get a med response? I don't love it but I don't hate either.
