Sure, I'd settle for that. Anything's better than full standard or more!

Selan- A SE Asian campaign (Critical rebuilding)

Not quite the area you're looking for, but Expeditious Retreat Press has some great little PDF's on Tibet and India. They're also working on a Silk Road volume IIRC. Heck, if you buy Joe a few beers, you might be able to talk him into covering Southeast Asia next! :D

Hey, somebody has to retain some semblance of sanity! ;) :D

Giant by Poll: Post-crash Poll #6: Skills

Intimidate seems like an appropriate one. Keep in mind there's a +4 per size category larger than the target...

Good Looking Map? Homebrew tips needed. (My World)

Cool! You don't actually *need* all of that, but it does help to build a realistic looking world. Are you using Expeditious Retreat Press' A Magical Society: Ecology and Culture, by the way? Because that sounds a lot like what they recommend: start with the plate tectonics, weather patterns...

    Collaborative Cave!

Any Small PCs would be able to move through the columns at 1/2 move. Medium or Larger creatures are going to have a hard time, unless they dumped a lot of points into Escape Artist. Here's an idea: The columns are under pressure, because they're essentially holding up a weak ceiling. Breaking a...

Good Looking Map? Homebrew tips needed. (My World)

One thing that struck as somewhat artificial-looking about your map: The two southern landmasses are about the same size and shape, and about in the same position relative to the northen landmasses. I'd suggest you change the size, orientation and position of one of them... Silly, yes. But...

What, my ability to insert typos in crucial places? You should know better by now! :p

Giant by Poll: Post-crash Poll #5: Treasure

I voted "None" because this critter seems too large and too primitive to me to be collecting what we typically tend to call "treasure". Face it... coins and gems? That would just look like glitterdust to a creature of this size. Don't even think it would be able to pick up a coin from the...

    Creatures-By-Poll: Fey #5 Breath Weapon

Voted #3 (duh) mainly because I think it's more flavorful, plus I don't like the lookup table inherent in "prismatic" spells. If I had to choose between the other options, I'd go with the straight prismatic spray. Yes, it's powerful. But it should be well-balanced given this creature's target CR.

Another suggestion I made earlier was that perhaps the same underground river which flows from #6 to #10 to #8 eventually winds up at the bottom of the chasm. You could even have a navigable passage from #8 down to the bottom of the chasm. Given the drop in height, it's probably a one-way...

    Collaborative Cave!

More details... You may want to add a second DC for "finger painting" - not sure the PCs will actually find the body with the paint brushes. What does the painting look like after the bridge disappears again? Does it go back to the original unfinished painting? Is the body down the chasm that...

    Collaborative Cave!

Hmm... I guess we could put a gate somewhere, but that would change the nature of this cave complex significantly. And you'd have to make sure it doesn't interfere with the ideas planned for the rooms behind that gate. Alternatively, I guess we could be cheesy and put in a sphinx or some other...

False alarm - the stream does indeed flow 6->10->8. There's just a second inflow into #8 as well. Ah! That makes more sense. This wasn't entirely clear from the description. I thought the "alcove to your left" referred to the left branch of the corridor from #2a - i.e. first it looks only like...

For the truly dedicated explorer... dragon poop also contains all the magic items, gold and gems of earlier adventureers that were swallowed whole. :D

Why the assumption that epic levels are purely optional?

I'd suggest you accept it and move on ;) Yes, WotC did do a significant amount of market research before they came out with 3.0 - among other things, to find out what levels people prefer to play. Don't know whether they have done anything as extensive after 3.0 came out, but I bet at least...

    Collaborative Cave!

So... your band of kobolds is dedicated to the dragons and willingly offer themselves up to be eaten, right? Any suggestions for why a good number of them (about CR 6-7 in total) might have set out to explore the farther reaches of the cave complex (i.e. 5-12) a few weeks ago? Apparently they...

    Collaborative Cave!

Whizbang: keep in mind that #4 contains either some sort of Swarm (bat swarm?) or poisonous gases from the dragon's breath weapon. Also, #12 further into the cave complex, contains a small group of stranded kobold or goblin adventurers. See the posts higher up in this thread... Sounds like we...

    Collaborative Cave!

Some more items for clarification... Did you intend the water to flow in from the far waterfall, and flow out through the underwater tunnel to #10? If so, that's opposite to the direction implied by the water levels in #8-#10-#6. Or do you mean there's two inflows into #8: the waterfall in the...
