Eberron - The dawn of the warforged (recruitment closed)

What's the preferred way of stat generation, O most vile of monotremes? Point-buy? Is so, how much? Roll? If so, which method? Standard wealth? Any special rules on gear, given that we were owned at the time of our disablement?

Eberron - The dawn of the warforged (recruitment closed)

I just had a brilliant idea! (Or at least I think it's so.) I've been re-reading all my Eberron books in preparation for a short campaign with my local gaming group, just as a point. Now, in parts of Sarlona, particularly near the Tashana Tundra, but also in northern Riedra, there are...

Eberron - The dawn of the warforged (recruitment closed)

Ah, the dreaded thingamagingy, a deadly artifact that does whoknowswhat, guarded by howwouldweknow beyond the bounds of notevenonamap. But seriously, I do like the idea of discovering the disabled warforged. We were in a particularly remote area (Khyber cavern, Demon Wastes, ruins in...

    OOC - From the Outside

*Nods* That'd work if dear Mum had been with your family from the start, as the au contraire. Then we'd be the last two standing against the tide of the dark, eh?

    OOC - From the Outside

Perhaps Hawthorne knew Slice from before - she might have been an acolyte at a ceremony his family attended, and maybe (kids being kids) they snuck off together once the adults were busy. So they might have been playmates as children, and here they are, twenty+ years later...

Eberron - The dawn of the warforged (recruitment closed)

There's also the possibility that the warforged were made in the secret creation forge in the bowels of Sharn, and hence might not have been aware that the warforged had been emancipated until, say, the start or near the beginning of the campaign. Perhaps the kalashtar free us, or we were sent...

    OOC - From the Outside

All righty then, that clears up a thing or two. I believe I like the idea of having already been an agent, though it would be interesting if Hawthorne was also a relative of one of the group. "What are you doing here?" "What are you doing here?!"

Eberron - The dawn of the warforged (recruitment closed)

I like the idea of an arcane/psionic support squad, a group they used to rotate in for strange corner cases during the war. Then the war ended and we were suddenly just weird and not useful anymore. But we won't take that standing down, now will we, troops? ;)

    OOC - From the Outside

*waves* Okiday, I have my preliminary priest up the RG. So... we're troll agents? Do we get very cool stone badges? ;)

Eberron - The dawn of the warforged (recruitment closed)

This party is screaming out for a psiforged. What about a psiforged psionic artificer? I could make us all psionic items and enhance us all psionically. Or an ardent (from Complete Psionic) as a sort of priest?

IC - Mad King's Monkey II

Ullara Halx, female human druid with dog companion Bran Ullara has to slow to a walk give her lungs a chance to refill, for the stitch in her side to fade from feeling like a knife in her guts to that of a small thorn. She won't give up though, and even if her strength is fading, she won't...

    The Center of Time

The Augurs' "drink" of choice is actually a peculiar sort of smoke, sweet and rich, that leaves a floral taste on the back of the tongue, yet curiously assuages your thirst quite handily. It's delivered by a small pellet set to heat in one corner of your plate of spiced "noodles", giving an...

    The Center of Time

"I thank you. But unfortunately unless you have the shards of mesomeme meningeal covering along with a intellect pod and a willingness to tie your life force to it, I find them extremely difficult to replicate," Jastor says, his smile full of pain.

    The Center of Time

The people in this little village are mostly Augurs, with their elegance and haughty ways. Inside the "simple" little village there are wonders - image projectors of scenes you are told are from different places in Augur-Kala, each showing some natural wonder: braided rivers, dancing hills, the...

    The Center of Time

Jastor looks rather interested as Echo's words. "Fascinating. Perhaps certain aspects were chrono-linked or location-dependent; you seemed to have learned more than Zapheda. But my dear, if I knew anything more about the city, I would have tried to stop the spreading madness for myself. I do...

Family Matters - Forgotten Realms Waterdeep Campaign

Session 31 When we last left our intrepid heroes, they had just arrived in Skullport, the city under Waterdeep, home to monsters and criminals, where vices were performed openly and the black market thrived. In front of the stretched a vast market, booths, stalls, and storefronts showing an...

Thanks much! I swear I'd looked through that book, but nothing had bit me. My books need bigger teeth. :D
