    PC antics, an emergency kit.

Does the party have a Dwarf? If so, how can their kit not include the requisite Ale or Beer? Otherwise, I think they might want to cut the number of torches in half and add a couple of lanterns.

Possessing your friends for fun and profit.

For my part, invoking Rule 0, I would allow it, as follows: If the mage had personal spells running and then Magic Jarred, those personal spells would stay with the body; if the mage casts new personal spells while in a new body, those personal spells would stay with the new body. However, I...

seeking advice: playing a Vampire Druid?

I'd agree that this is something that needs to be worked out with the DM. And, depending on how the DM handles things, that vampire NPC may "teach" the new vampire how things work - in other words, be the proxy by which the DM shows you what changed (which could be some neat role playing)...

    Equipment and Persnickety Details

Yeah, it's been a lot longer than a week or two. Turns out my sense of time in relation to getting things done is pretty not-right. Anyway, I haven't gotten the templates done, but I have gotten a couple consumable items put together (and no, I'm not terribly happy with the images, but I'm not...

    Class Ideas V.2

I call shenanigans! If your DM is so limited in creativity and problem solving that you actually have a ban list, which includes core classes from the core book, then move on - find a new DM. A good DM will learn from their players, encourage role-playing and options, and will not artificially...

    Massive Gaming Collection for sale

I wanted to see if you were still selling the listed books as I'd be interested in picking up the entire Scarred Lands collection. I will send you an email this evening when I get home. Cheers!

    Underground Resistance Campaign

This is what I see as the most significant issue with the premise of the campaign. In Germany, there wasn't the kind of rebellion as when one thinks of France, Greece, Russia, or many of the other occupied lands. But therein lies the key - occupied lands. From the way this is presented, it...

Pathfinder 1E Ideas for Epic Pathfinder

Were I to run a campaign that went into Epic levels, that's the approach I would take. Classes cap out at the levels given, so a Fighter could only ever get to Level 20 in Fighter; A Shadow Dancer could only get to Level 10. Thus, if you wanted to multi-class, or pursue a straight career plus...

So I decided to build a game table

Woot for Disney! And I have to say, it looks like your table serves your purpose well. Too, from the pictures, I don't think you will have to worry about it holding up over the years. As an aside, did you allow for the legs to be easily detachable? I thought I saw a bolt or somesuch on one...

Pathfinder 1E What are your Pathfinder houserules?

Aside from changing some of the feats (like reverting Power Attack to its prior form from 3.5), I have a few. Characters get maximum hit points per level; Paladins can be of any Good alignment; Anti-Paladins can be of any Evil alignment; Racial bonuses (like a Dwarf's Stoncunning) scale with...

    D&D 3.x Adding taunt/threat mechanics to 3.5e

Or - you could forgo the feat route and tack the mechanic onto the Intimidate skill. The Fighter could make an opposed Intimidate check against the target. If successful, the attempt grants a morale bonus to saves for the Fighter's comrades, while inflicting a morale penalty against the...

    Move and full attack

I've seen a few mentions of that in various places here (and under various topics). From what I recall, those people that have implemented such a rule did like the outcome. But some others went a little farther and limited the number of attacks per round (I think that was something that came...

    It Just Happened That Way

Nice. Gotta love it when things actually work out. And, in this case, it's even better because it's something the players opted to do for themselves.

Killing a Wizard is Easy... if you know how.

Instead of all those changes, which are a lot, why not just introduce a very simple pair of mechanics. First, with 3.x/PF only Arcane casters have a spell failure chance with armor. Make every spell caster have a spell failure chance with armor, regardless of if divine, arcane, etc. Just...

Poll: Type of Campaign You Play

I tend to run longer campaigns. Characters start out at 1st level, and we generally end up around 12 to 18 by the time the campaign is concluded. Our last campaign ended up with the characters around 16th to 18th level, with some epic elements as well.

    Item creation Question

The "caster level" given for magic items is used to determine the item's saving throws. It is not a requirement of construction. Cheers.

I have to agree, bait and switch campaigns are bad all the way around. And generally, the campaign doesn't last much, if at all, beyond the switch part...
