Forked Thread: Remember This... Time Travel... What would you do?

First stop: The future. Are we still around? And how are we going? Better? Worse? Then: Meet some great people. Einstein, Feynman, Newton, Galilei, Seneca, Voltaire and so many more. Afterwards: Meet past people I knew. Visiting dearly loved people we and I have lost, grandfathers and so on...

To whoever controls the acronym mouse over

That's the basic problem with that acronym - it implies that people don't criticise honestly so you have to mark it to get "normal people" - it's like putting "only for normal people" or "only for real roleplayers" into a title - it only covers things from obvious to insulting. That it sort of...

    I Will Kill You

I guess it depends on your natural disposition towards stuff like that. I sort of sounds weird but still interesting. But my name... that's a matter of privacy, as it's pretty identifiable (my full name is unique enough to be *always* a correct full google hit - at least up to now :erm:)...

    Need help with a feat

You might want to offer a to-hit bonus on the follow-up attack, would help a bit. Not going down the obvious routes (increasing damage, hit bonus, range and so on), I reckon some possible ideas could be: - Incurring a status effect as slow/prone/immobilize (representing the precision) on crits...

    I Will Kill You

While true, one might argue that posting "BAD IDEA" in big, big letters isn't the best response, Relique. :erm: It might have been more helpful to post that directly, so that Bullgrit can put a disclaimer into the thread title and the post itself, like "(not for real)" and "(only fictionally...

Mearls Blog: PHB2 is his best ever

Not only applies to writers but to all people who have to work on lengthy rather mental projects, like experiments and or a thesis. But definitively true. Cheers, LT.

Mearls on Controller design and At-Will balance

Another idea - make it target two targets but without any effect and add "Special: If you target only one creature with this attack, then the target is slowed." Instead of increasing its raw power, you add a lot of versatility to it. Cripple one or blast two. It's also a nice counter point to...

    Hive For The Holidays!

Since lottery usually is a losing game anyway... that sounds like a perfectly good plan - I mean you have nothing to lose, no? :D Cheers, LT.

    Wizard at-wills

Well, as I read it first, I rather thought of some psychic effect making you dizzy, so you lose your balance. Well, I've thought about it... comparing them to the better wizard at-wills (Scorching Burst, Thunderwave) and thought about the "and a little bit better", due to Mearls' comments. I...

    Wizard at-wills

Conceptually, they look good. Personally, I think the +2 on attacks may be a little too good. Also, I think psychic push and surprise trip are sort of odd in their damage types. Psychic push targets fortitude but does psychic damage? I think force damage would be a better fit - it fits the idea...

    All D&D trolls are male?

Who needs sexual procreation if it can reproduce by budding? Given the trollish regeneration capabilities, it would sort of fit that they just bud off new baby trolls. Cheers, LT.

    The Hive!

Uah. I'm exhausted. Need food. But I feel like I've been neglecting the hive for a while. Cheers, LT.

    Dragon 370 - Design & Development: Cosmology

If you don't find mysteries in the modern world, you're not looking hard enough. Seriously. On finite/infinite: I think the real main thrust of the change is encouraging creativity. With infinite planes you, as a DM, have freedom to put more stuff into it as you like, but ultimately, it has to...

    D&D III movie trailer

Oh, you're not the only one. The first one almost made me suicidal. The second one... I could classify that as corny fun time-waster, simply because it had some fun D&D references and a proper adventuring party. But still bad, just not as bad as the first one. Cheers, LT.

Sadly, that's totally true. How did that happen? o.O Cheers, LT.

    The Hive!

Today in lab, we were supposed to do rainbow holograms. A mess, I tell you, a mess! Instead we found out two other things - one which is explainable and one where even my Physics professor has no clue so far. :erm: Cheers, LT.

    Meet the new Dr. Who!

I'd absolutely love to see him as the Doctor in a film. Though I sort of see his story played out - series 4 was a very... satisfying end to the new Doctor Who, I can't see how a film can top that. But if they can do it... would be great. Cheers, LT.

Spotlight Interview: John Rogers on the Manual of the Planes

From the excerpt and knowing Jim Butcher, who jonrog refers to, it's not really like tricksters or pranksters. It sounds more like enigmatic hedonists who play their own games among each other. They don't play tricks on mortals, they ensnare them into their own view of funny - as tools, pawns...

    [Eberron] Dragonmarked scion and pride

Hmmm... considering that they are hired muscles, it could get annoying, once you met some people who employ Deneith soldiers as guards/whatever - they could just refuse you entry and similar things. Cheers, LT.
