    Blade Barrier Cheese (135d6 damage)

I would further rule that the Blade Barrier can't affect the same person more than once a round. Otherwise it gets icky. --Seule

Sins of Our Fathers - 2/10 - Final Update

Now I have to go dig up issue 100 and see what was said. Inquiring minds want to know. :) I think I have 2 copies of that one stashed away. --Seule

What is the dumbest way you've seen a paladin lose his paladinhood?

Well, it's not stupid, but it's the only paladin-loss I've ever seen. The primary god of the campaign was LE, masquerading as LG. When the Paladin discovered that her god was evil, she renounced her Paladinhood. She later was accepted by another, actually good god, and regained it. Suitable...

    Miniatures Handbook

So try comparing a Cleric and a Wizard. Clerics are more powerful in that comparison. They know all spells, can wear heavy armor, get simple weapons, know 2 domains with granted abilities, get double the hitpoints.... I think that the wizard spell list is certainly considered more powerful...

[BoED Broken!] Do these two spells really cancel out?

The obvious fix (house rule) is that the spell restricts those affected from attacking other who are affected. If you manage to avoid the spell through Mind Blank or suchlike, others can attack you freely too. --Seule

[GR] Holy/Unholy Warrior 3.5 Update Query

Count a vote here for comptability with 3.5. I love the fact that I can take published adventures with Paladins, and not have to convert them to make them compatable with BotR. People who come in wanting a Paladin I can tell that they can make a standard Paladin, but that there are other...

    Miniatures Handbook

Can anyone post the requirements for the Cavalier, at least what's changed? I have a character who's about to level who is interested, and I'll not have the book until Christmas. Thanks. --Seule

Challenging my high-lvl group (NPCs and monsters; my players shouldn't read this!)

They sound like Tauric Kuo-Tua-Chuul to me... maybe Kuo-Chuul? I have no idea where the Etherealness comes from, maybe equipment. --Seule

Complete Warrior, anybody got it? What's in it?

Y'know, I think that's the first time I've ever seen that phrase used that way. Usually it's shortform for "I'm going to say something really offensive, but I don't want you to be able to do anything about it." In this case, as far as I can tell, it means "If you are really touchy you could...

Complete Warrior, anybody got it? What's in it?

Someone commented that Improved Toughness was well done, I assume that's a replacement for the Dwarf's Toughness-Giant's Toughness-Dragon's Toughness chain? --Seule

Complete Warrior, anybody got it? What's in it?

Questions I have: How did they fix Power Critical? What does the Cavalry tactical feat do? What changes were made to the Cavalier? You may be able to guess that I have a mounted character. :) --Seule

    Miniatures Handbook

Have you ever read Not Wanted on the Voyage? Now there's an image you don't need... I own the Handbook, and I am unlikely to use the miniatures rules. Overall, I think the book is pretty good for a D&D resource. The 4 base classes have been discussed to death, my main concern is the Warmage...

Eadric et. al. (The Paladin and his Friends).

I'm a little surprised that the Enforcer doesn't have Spellcasting Harrier, or the feat from the Miniatures Handbook that's even better, but similar. I'd have thought it would be the obvious choice. --Seule

Forcing Players to create GOOD characters...

For my current campaign I stipulated no evil or chaotic characters. This is because the setup was that everyone was on the city watch of a sizeable city, with pretty good recruitment practices, and I wanted a unified outlook in the party on some things. Plus, it makes Order's Wrath a much more...

    MegaTokyo Fans... 1 n33d j00r h3Lp!

I was going to make comments on Spycraft conversions of the characters, but I think Dom covered most of what I wanted to say, and a whole lot more. I do think that Pointman would work well for Piro, people seem to like him even if he isn't aware of it. Everyone around him does stuff, and...

How can Shriekers be justly assigned a CR of 1?

Green Slime is also a classic D&D monster, but in 3rd edition it became a hazard rather than a monster. Shriekers need the same treatment, as dungeon dressing. Really, as they can't move or attack, and can't defend themselves, they are a plant that happens to make noise. You don't see standard...

D&D 3.x 3.5 Charge - How to Fix it, and why it's important.

That's pretty much how it worked in 3.0, with the caveat that you must also continue in a straight line. That'd be fine in 3.5. Really, anything that was possible to pull off without your mount having to have a whole lot of Tumble would be better than the current impossibility. --Seule

    Con Drain = H.P. Loss = Death?

I hear you. Randomness has no place in character building. I don't want to play a fighter who rolls a 1 for hps every level, and I don't want my players doing it either. Rolling for hps (or stats) is so very important to game balance that it shouldn't be left to chance. I use the average...
