What Happens If CODENAME: MORNINGSTAR Doesn't Fund?

Another problem with it that occurred to me, is that you are presumably locked into their ecosystem when it comes to adventures. Yet most people, especially those in the current target audience (Pathfinder), probably have a large host of PDF adventures. Presumably you would be able to somehow...

What Happens If CODENAME: MORNINGSTAR Doesn't Fund?

$1.2 million already invested? Yikes. But I think the problem is that it's not particularly obvious that what they plan to offer is "new & exciting". That picture that they use (shown above) seems to be more or less identical to a PDF reader reading an adventure PDF (which they deride). How is...

    Freeport: The City of Adventure

I hope they removed the goofy/silly stuff, like that insurance agency that has a stone where people are compelled to tell the truth.

Lone Wolf Prepping to bring D&D 5th Edition to HEROLAB!

Is this any different than the Trap Door people saying they would support 5e in the event of a 5E srd release? I mean, it's great they plan to, but unless Hasbro actually releases it, it doesn't really matter. I mean really, given how big D&D is, I imagine every multi-rpg software program will...

[UPDATED] CODENAME: MORNINGSTAR: Watch the UI Overview

Most stall out sooner rather than later, than pick up near the end. This had more initial steam than I expected, usually it's only the first 3-4 days that are robust. But it's not a well run KS. They have only 1 update and it's 10 days in.

CODENAME: MORNINGSTAR Kickstarter Launched - and it's for PATHFINDER!

Well, the KS has been up for what, 4 days now? $20,000 isn't bad, but there's no way there are going to make it to $425,000. KSes usually have a spike at the beginning and end, and a lot of slow growth in the middle. Like maybe 30% of the total in the first 2-3 days, then 40% in the next 24...

Design Your Own Miniatures With Heroforge!

Got it working now. If it were half the price, I'd consider it, but $15 for a fig is too much. Also not a lot of choices for clothing. My PC is a Celtic sort, doesn't wear a shirt and wears striped pants and has long-ish hair.

Design Your Own Miniatures With Heroforge!

I can't get it to work. I see the little dude, but I have no options. I guess maybe the site is overloaded and it's just not loading?

    95 PATHFINDER Classes?

2e had 8 in the PHB, then later the Complete books added Psionicist, Necromancer, and Ninja. Then Al-Qadim had the Sha'ir. I think another book added the Monk back. Sages & Specialists added 10 (NPC classes, basically) Masque of the Red Death added 4 (Soldier, Adept, Mystic, Tradesmen)

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape Lives!

I'm not sure I get this. For $50 you get a program that does what exactly? Look up rules and displays modules? Why can't you just look them up in a PDF reader? Or in this case, one of the Pathfinder websites? (the unnofficial SRD is actually better) And if you don't play Pathfinder, how does...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape Lives!

So maybe they shouldn't be hyping something then, if they can't talk about it? All they are doing is generating ill will. Look at the reaction to this on reddit http://www.reddit.com/r/rpg/comments/2o9p9g/exclusive_the_death_of_dungeonscape_trapdoors/ Mostly ignored, but what reaction there...

    Dungeon Crawl Classics

2 out of 5 rating for Dungeon Crawl Classics Somehow it managed to be both deadlier and more cumbersome to play than Rolemaster. Yet somehow that's a virtue? And it certainly doesn't represent how I played D&D back in the '70s Nice art though.

Help with DMG mining cubic volume, p.106

What I thought he meant was the number of 10' squares on graph paper. So if it was very soft, it would be 7.5 10x10 squares on graph paper, soft 5, hard 2.5.

Pathfinder 1E Would a cutlass be a rapier, longsword, or shortsword?

Scimitar! Since they are both curved. Cutlasses are shorter and heavier, but same deal basically

    Non-Canonical Freeport adventures?

The entire text of the first three Freeport adventures were released as open content, thus allowing other people to re-use Freeport, at least as described in those modules. Did anyone make any? No real reason, just curious as I was looking for an adventure and was browsing through my stack of...

Please define a couple of common terms I see used on here

Basically it means to optimize a character for combat at the expense of other things. I believe it originally meant rearrange the abilities scores, maxing out the combat ones (str, dex, con) and minimizing the non-combat ones (int, wis, and especially charisma)

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape Lives!

The problem is that people were only interested in it (and them) because it was for 5e. If they are switching it to a new system, they've basically lost their audience. Can they find a new one? Perhaps. But I really doubt there is anyone saying "Wow, these are really create tools, I'll play...

Is the Original D&D White Box reprint good for new players?

Not really. It was really aimed at people who played a lot of games with confusing rules.
