I agree with your statement about their staff. But I would be VERY surprised if their IT person(s) wasn't asking peers for advice. I do realize that the best person to know a system is the one who works on it every day. But I also realize that if someone offered for example, to help stress test...

Exactly. Dual (or Quad) processers would be better. More RAM is always a good thing. Seperate each application to it's own server solves a multitude of problems. I can go on like this all night.

Ron, I couldn't even get IN until 3:55. Couldn't log in until until 4:20. Just got to the 'add events' page - can't add anything. I tried 5 at a time, now I'm trying 1 at a time.

der_kluge, these pictures have really brightened my day! It's hard to vent and rage when you're laughing so hard! Furthermore, you could AT LEAST taken the forums off the main server. Any old box can handle that.

I acknowledge your point. You don't have to spend all the money the 1st year. You can do a 2 or 3 year upgrade. But don't trumpet all the "changes" you're making and have it fail EXACTLY the same way as last year. Furthermore, we (the gamers) are willing to help (FOR FREE!) on stress testing...

What gets me is: They are aware of these problems. We get this whole list of "why it fails" They tell us what they're going to do. If you offer suggestions, they bristle and say "We know what they're doing" If you offer other possibilities (I am a IT Director and have setup complete systems...
