I don't think that those two aspects are as connected as you suggest. I'm in the same boat: I like fantasy RPGs, but there's hardly any fantasy literature that makes me want to read it.

I agree. Old maps being converted is definitely not a sufficient hint at an upcoming conversion. Many maps from old TSR products have been showing up in the map column up to now.

I'm a bit surprised to find the Purple Worm on that list. I always thought it was one of the most popular monsters in that range.

Just tell your print driver to fit the map to a page. Or resize it, if you want a size different from one page.
