Growing your claws is a free action, but using your claws to make an AoO isn't. That's the distinction I'm trying to draw, between "growing" versus "using".

Here's my logic: Demon bloodline claws take a free action to use. I can't take a free action during someone else's turn. If I activate my claws during my turn, that counts as one round of use even if I don't attack with them. Ergo, sorcerer claws suck at AoOs.

Voadam's list of Pathfinder changes was really amazing, somehow does the job of that Trailblazer list of changes plus its design document (ie, the changes and the intent both) in a much more concise form.
