Great idea (writes idea down :D ) I'm definately gonna use that, I think it will cut down on some confusion (mostly on my part).

OK, I had a great (or crazy, I can’t tell which) idea about a gestalt campaign in which 1 side of the gestalt is already filled by some type of lycanthrope. The game world has several moons, so every night has at least 1 that is full. Since it’s been this way from the beginning of memory there...

I Completely agree. In my campaign, if 2 natural 20's in a row are rolled, not only is the critical confirmed, it is considered automatically maximum damage, and the player gets to roll again. On a third confirmed hit the player gets to add normal damage to the maximum crit already out there...

Maybe one solution is to retire the current campaign and start a new one, the new campaign starts with all the limitations you want, presented to the players before the campaign begins so they can't gripe about not knowing that.

THAT is so cool :) I have a kobold lich sorcerer the party is talking to in my current game, and I haven't introduced a familiar for him yet. A swarm familiar would be great flavor for him as he comes across a bit creepy anyway.

That wouldn't work for a friend of mine. I witnessed him roll 3 ones on 3d6 loaded to roll 6's :(

From the description of Merciful I would say it would only apply to the weapon damage. From the SRD Merciful The weapon deals an extra 1d6 points of damage, and all damage it deals is nonlethal damage. Bows, crossbows, and slings so crafted bestow the merciful effect upon their ammunition.

Maybe something like if the wearer is already a Paladin she gets a +3 sacred bonus to her Lay On Hands ability?

I see the Danish as being experts of various types since there are many types of danish: nut, almond, chocolate chip, fruit, streusel, custard cup, etc. The chocolate covered donut would have to be an Aristocrat.
