    Babylon 5

I wanted to chime in on Crusade. I was really hopeful for the show, but the music score was appalling. Up until that point, I hadn't realized how much the music behind a show affected my enjoyment. Still, the premise was good and I imagine it would have fared better had it been shown in the...

Would you Swap 3.5e for Exalted?

ON NOES!! I don't have a problem with this promotion. Yes, they'll be destroying books, but come on, they'll be recycling them. :D Now if only they'd take my 1e Exalted books instead so I can upgrade...

Compiled Conditions List - UPDATED, REFORMATTED

I agree with Eleran. For the dwarf warlord, it really looks like on a roll of 4, all he would recharge would be Rally the Troops; on a 6 he would get all three abilities recharged. The systems promote good results for high rolls, so rolling a 6 and having it not recharge the 4 and 5 abilities...

    Amazon Kindle--what's the deal?

It's probably a good thing for me that the Kindles have been out of stock for the past month. I've really been interested in picking one up.

    (reverse) Engineering a Rogue?

Anyone tried to combine the rules from D&D Insider displaying the rogue class with the existing characters that have surfaced from Experience? I'm thinking about trying my hand at it, but wanted to see if someone had done the work already? (and a huge thanks to everyone for posting and...

How Long Can You DM ?

Last year our weekly group got together on a Saturday and I ran one of the Age of Worms modules in its entirety. I think it was thirteen hours in all, and I was an absolute zombie by the end of it. Oh, for the days of my youth when many weekends were non-stop gaming...

Sigil NPC list, Venues list and Map downloads

The images look great Ambrus. Glad to see you're still keeping up with this effort. I was curious, are you adding any non-canon material? I know there's all sorts of ancient stuff out there and there's the matter of an unending workload, but the great one that came to mind was the material...

The Best & Worst of 3rd Edition: FINAL FIVE: PHB II, UA, Eberon, Ptolus, Pathfinder

Sorry I missed the previous poll. It seems a bit odd grouping, but I understand how you got to that point. I voted Pathfinder. I have all of the material, and out of the group, the only one to jump out at me and say "I must use this in a campaign" was Pathfinder. Considering that I used to...

Need moderator to edit old thread

Hi guys. I'm linking to an old thread on this site regarding projectors. It's the 'Coolest.Gaming.Set Up. Evar' thread found here: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=122099&page=1&pp=30 When I pull up the first page of the thread, it prompts for a login to dladventures.com which it...

D&D 3.x What impact would 4E movement have in 3.5

Thanks Evilbob (and the others who chimed in). Those are the mechanics that I was really looking for. I'll see if my players are up for the adjustments.

D&D 3.x What impact would 4E movement have in 3.5

Hi guys. I'm enamored with what we've heard about the simpler movement system in 4E, where all diagonals cost 1 square/5 foot, the same as horizontal and vertical moves. I know over the years we've gotten used to counting 5', 15', 20', 30', but it's jarring at times and slows play down. So I...

IMPORTANT! Is your new Community Supporter Account not working?

Hi guys. It doesn't look like my account upgrade is working either. I sent an email to Russ last week, but figured posting here wouldn't hurt. User: Ruined Payment Sent (ID #26V26030RK495372T) Dec. 31, 2007 $19.99 USD

    Projected map vs. terrain objects

I've recently started using the projector method and I'm really enthused with it. Your cons are valid ones to consider. For me, a couple of factors made it easier: I'm a Dundjinni user, so I was already spending the time to design the maps. I'm a Photoshop user, so the fog of war effect and...

NC Game Day XV - January 26

Hmm, I think I'll see if I can attend this event instead of just going and socializing at the pre-game cookout. Now what was my password...?

    PC & XBox360 Interconnectivity

Yeah, that's an uphill struggle with the file types. If you use a lot of DivX codec .avis, you can try Orb which I linked above. It can feel pretty sluggish though, as (IIRC) it's recoding the file to a workable codec for the 360 as it plays.

    Saddest Song Ever

Try 'Lonesome Tears', by Beck. It's got great orchestral parts to it, but man does it bring me low. IIRC, he wrote the album 'Sea Change' after a pretty bad breakup and it shows.

    PC & XBox360 Interconnectivity

If you don't want to go the Zune route for sharing your media, there's a program called Orb that lets you share it to your 360. http://www.orbnetworks.com/gamers/index.htm

Exactly the same one. Hope we're right. =) If not, I've seen some blogs of people who've made theirs without much problem.

    Coolest. Gaming Set-up. Evar.

I've ordered an IR penlight to try with the Wiimote hack. If I have any success, I'll see what I can do as far as video. I'm bad enough with a digital camera, as you'll see here. I set the projector up, using a suspended mirror to project the image onto a whiteboard on my table. I was a bit...
