That was about what I paid for my iPad Air on sale a year or two ago. It's a decent tablet, I have to say. I am not sure what it is missing that the other much more expensive iPads have, though (other than only having 64GB storage).

The low-end Samsungs definitely are cheaper (but you get what you pay for; the one I had was a high end model). Where are you finding iPads that cheap? As for Fire...they are better than people realize, you just have to deal with the Amazon restrictions or jailbreak it.

I use the OnePlus pad and it’s really nice, very quality design and resolution, very fast processor and such. Cheaper than Apple and Samsung equivalents, too.

Arguably even T&T and Dragonbane are in that camp….but both skew to a different feel and style of play thanks to different core conceits in their rules.

I would love to play Level Up! And TotV when it arrives but if they dont offer good Roll20 support I’m outta luck. I do think Shard Tabletop will handle TotV though, so I can use that platform.

T&T in the 80s is to AD&D what Dragonbane is to 5E today. That is to say: a counter product that does a different fantasy delving experience on purpose, and only shares ideology and genre but not rules. Now that said, I would lump Pathfinder and Shadowdark in the camp if “D&D likes” myself. Ymmv!

For PF2 E v1 sure, but it doesn’t have anything that can’t be easily reskinned or ignored. Changing the mage class to use golarion colleges rather than something more generic might be a bit harder though. It’s not a huge deal ultimately, and most people do use Golarion, so my specific use case...

My BRP book arrived a few days ago, planning out a campaign set in a hard SF future environment for my group next week, very excited! BRP has always been my “desert island” rpg.

It sounds like the class will now be more explicitly Golarion focused which means homebrew settings will have more trouble using it. Oh well.

I desperately want them to announce a "Starfinder powered by Savage Worlds!" Paizo and Pinnacle please make this a reality!!! Your Savage Worlds-powered Pathfinder was amazing, and the Starfinder universe is a much better fit for Savage Worlds than D20. (YMMV, IMO, ETC)

I love Level Up and this may help get more of my group around to the idea of trying it. I will say that the poor condition of the box set in that image has me suffering serious pains of distress, though! That poor box.

There are other TTRPG companies, including good companies worth supporting who are earnest in their love of the hobby. Just saying!
