I think the initial release of the 3 core rule books (if WotC goes down that route) will sell tremendously well. Beyond that I'd be surprised if 5E is as successful as 3E.

I agree with what seems like the majority view that the third one is best small but I prefer the large one at full size.

Interesting comments so far - for my players accumulating wealth just for the sake of it is a very strong motivator!

Back in the day my group was typically: Human Thief Dwarven Fighter Elven Magic User Human Cleric At the time it didn't seem a stereotypical as it does now . . . After running White Plume Mountain the Thief obtained Blackrazor and became quite a formidable fighter!

Makes me remember all the good things about playing 3E after the years in the wilderness (i.e. When I gave up RPGs for a decade or so!).
