D&D General As old as D&D

Me too. Of just one year, but I am older.

    Greatest Fantasy Wizards?

Uhm... no one cited Vecna or Acererak or Fistandantilus. But Gandalf and Raistlin are in my personal top list, while Ged from Earthsea and Miyazaki's Howl are some of my favourites.

    Greatest Fantasy Warriors?

I was surprised that no one considered Etienne Navarre :ROFLMAO:

    Greatest Fantasy Warriors?

In my list of fictional characters I would place Conan, several Tolkien's characters (Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas, Eomer, Turin, Fingolfin, etc), some from Dragonlance (Caramon, Sturm, Laurana, Kitiara and Huma), a lot of characters from A Song of Ice and Fire (Jon Snow, Eddard Stark, Jaime...

D&D General The most played D&D Adventure of all time

Me. I run castle Ravenloft (as a DM or as a player in AD&D 1E) at least 5 times and I also run several adventure/campaign in the other domains of dread.

D&D General The most played D&D Adventure of all time

Ravenloft is my guess. It has a version in at least four editions of the game.

    Terrible sequels

    I totally agree

    The boy and the heron

I partially agree. The real world does not need any development. The world inside the tower does not need a full development because it is a sort of dream, it does not live it's own life and depends completely from its creator's will. The plot is not undeveloled, it's just different and less...

    The boy and the heron

I don't think so for some reasons. There are no flying machines for example and the henron is a completely different character with respect to other movies. OK, there are some citations from previous movies, as usual (e g. the boats of the dead mariners similar to the planes in Porco Rosso), but...

    The boy and the heron

In my opinion it's a masterpiece. The drawings, the backgrounds, the soundtrack, the story and the characters (with particular reference, as usual talking about Miyazaki, to two female characters) are amazing. More mature and obscure than previous movies, but at my age I personally appreciated...

D&D 5E (2014) DM imposed restrictions to the game (+)

No third party books, no mtg related books (ravinca and similar stuff) and no books specific for any setting that is not the one that we are playing. Usually no one complains.

D&D 5E (2014) A Campaign "Houserule" Idea - Armor Proficiency is based on the armor "donner" not wearer.

I don't like it. Use an armor means that you can deal with the weight and you can move and stand up from a prone position and so on. This rule is just a way to have more wizards in armor. Not a good choice for me.

D&D General Would you buy an AI-generated Castle Greyhawk "by" Gary Gygax?" Should you?

Today for sure my answer to the initial question is NO. I am not sure regarding my answer in the future, but at the present development level no AI is able to produce something as creative as we all deserve.

    rewatching Lord of the Rings

Just re-watched the entire trilogy because my daughter asked to me. Every time I do it, then I have to read again the book in order to make peace with my favoured characters raped by PJ (Faramir, Treebeard and Gimli, but also poor Denethor) and with the story.
