Urban Horror In A Corrupt City: A Setting & Adventure Path for 5E, Pathfinder, and S&W

So once it gets to 100k, I'll pledge :) There's no point to pledge toward something I might not even be able to get right?

Urban Horror In A Corrupt City: A Setting & Adventure Path for 5E, Pathfinder, and S&W

Can I buy this as a book for 5th edition? If the answer is no, that's a deal breaker for me :(

    Green-Flame Blade = magic weapon?

    does that help?

    Green-Flame Blade = magic weapon?

Right, it's important to note the difference between a spell adding damage to an attack which hit (smite for example), which as noted does NOT make the attack bypass resistance or immunity by default, and a spell source granting you an attack. The errata talks about sources of attacks, not damage.

    Green-Flame Blade = magic weapon?

I would specify that it's not a 'normal weapon attack' and instead 'a weapon attack' which causes 'the attack's normal effects'. It's a small but significant difference. You need a weapon as a material cost to cast the spell. You cast the spell which grants the attack. If the attack hits you...

    Green-Flame Blade = magic weapon?

Agree to disagree. And you certainly don't have any grounds to claim RAI. I'm not convinced about the RAW either post errata.

    Green-Flame Blade = magic weapon?

Evocation cantrip Casting Time: 1 action Range: 5 feet Components: V, M (a weapon) Duration: Instantaneous As part of the action used to cast this spell, you must make a melee attack with a weapon against one creature within the spell's range, otherwise the spell fails. On a hit, the target...

    Green-Flame Blade = magic weapon?

I was talking about the sentinel feat for example which let's you do basically the equivalent of an OA when someone attacks another creature than you. But really, that's not the point. You're using cause and effect to justify a chain leading from the Haste spell to the attack you make, I'm...

    D&D 5E (2014) Killing a Teammate

You should really give this post a solid read OP. If the player of the character is not ok with the party killing it, that's the end of the discussion. This is a team game. No act like that should EVER be done without the express permission of the player. However, in the same vein, if the...

    Green-Flame Blade = magic weapon?

No, haste is providing you an action. It does not provide you an attack. This kind of claim leads to nonsense like I cast a spell which grants me an attack, which triggers an OA from an enemy, who triggers an attack from my ally. So because of the chain, the attack from my ally has a source...

    Green-Flame Blade = magic weapon?

The spell gave you an action with specific restrictions. It did not give you an attack. You chose to use the action to make an attack. That's not the same thing. So agree to disagree that you can claim the source of an attack is something not actually giving you an attack.

    Green-Flame Blade = magic weapon?

As you probably saw up-thread, the spell Haste does not give you an attack. It gives an action with restrictions. These are two very different things!

    Green-Flame Blade = magic weapon?

Sure. But I would like to say that there's a distinct difference between being blunt and being rude. And also speaking within the discussion and making personal attacks against another user. Mod Note: Please see my post, below. ~Umbran.

I tried googling it and found some sage advice responses and other websites but nothing related to the discussion here.

Well if you can link to the answer I would really appreciate it even if I end up being incorrect :)

    Green-Flame Blade = magic weapon?

My posts are becoming blunt and direct because you seem to purposefully ignore the facts that contradict your position. You can choose to take offense if you wish, but playing the victim doesn't change anything. And apparently, from your latest post you once again prove that you don't...
