Not subscribing at this point. The compendium is not what I was looking for in a digital rules package, I want something that is available off line. The magazines are tempting, but since it looks like they may actually follow through with promises of printed collections, I can do without these...

There has never been any indication of player or DM manipulations. Many meta-game references have been made, from books to rules to 'die rolls', but never have there been mentioned, any entities that control the PCs.

I enjoy both games. A lot. LNoE is good for variety in characters and more of a 'teamwork' theme. I haven't had a chance to play with the expansion yet, but I have it and it looks just as good as the base game. Zombies!!! is great for more randomness as the board will be different each time...

What I find curious is that such a book would be published so close to the finale of the series. Why not wait so the entire series could be covered?

This is interesting. I have to agree with Clark, 4e is a good game, but is missing something that is the soul of D&D. And it's not something that can really be quantified, it's more the 'feel' than anything else. Perhaps, this is the thing that has so many people comparing 4e to board games...

Silent Hill: Homecoming (PS3). Great addition to the series, so far. Very creepy and only an hour or so in and I have had plenty of scares and jumps. :) Makes for a great October.
