It's not an official rule. I'm not sure it's even that common of a house rule. It may be a holdover from 1st or 2nd edition. I don't remember it from then, but it's been many years and my memory of the systems is spotty.

Dervish does not make scimitars light weapons, it alows you to treat them as light weapons for the purpose of TWF. i.e. You can still use power attack. That leads to my other thought, though. Are sheilds considered light weapons? I'm not sure that is a thing that has been addressed. IMO no...

My thouoghts at the moment are to run a campaign based almost entirely on the pre-3.x Dungeon magazines. Since they were all designed to be 'drop-in' adventures in the first place I'm hoping this will be very easy. I'm considering using the Flame trilogy as the capstone adventures for each tier.

Haha, lately I watch all of my horror movies through the PS3 via my HD monitor. Which is great, but it leaves the entire room including door and closet behind me. You could say it 'enhances' the experience. o.0
