September - What are you Reading?

Actually, this was published by University of Nebraska and Bison Books. My copy is a soft cover edition and I got it off Amazon.com for $12.71 plus shipping and handling. Also, it contains 4 Zothique stories: The Empire of the Necromancers, The Isle of the Torturers, Necromancy in Naat and...

Character levelled 1 through 20...have you?

As a player, no. I have not. As a DM, I did take a group of characters from 1st to 20th when I ran the SCAP. It was one of my proudest accomplishments as a DM.

What's been your longest break from playing RPGs?

I didn't play more than 3 or 4 times in the five years that I spent in college. That would have to be my longest break.

Where on Greyhawk do you run?

I am currently running games set in Keoland and the domain of Greyhawk (The Age of Worms) but in the past, I have run games set in Wild Coast, Nyrond, Furyondy, Highfolk, and the Amedio Jungle.

Free RPG Day is fast approaching, is your FLGS participating?

Mine is: The Dragon's Keep in Provo, Utah. Unfortunately, I will be out of town and unable to attend which really SUCKS. Not only will I miss out on the free stuff, I was hoping to finally get a chance to play Castles and Crusades.

    The Shield

I was a little surprised that Shane made it through till the end of season. I am glad that he did. Walton Goggins has been nothing short of brilliant this season. He really stood out in a superb cast. All in all, I did like the final episode of this season. I certainly wasn't as climatic as...

"Kothar - Barbarian Swordsman" by Gardner F. Fox.

    The Shield

Wow. Great episode. It looks like the s*** is going to hit the fan next week. I don't see how they wrap up this story line without somebody dying. (I'm thinking Shane.) This is going to get ugly. Nightfall, you were dead right about Aceveda's new "friend." The guy is flat out evil...

The Tick vs Season 2 Release 8/7

I'm surprised that no one has said this yet: Spoon!

    The Shield

Considering that Acevada's ally is likely the person that tipped off the Biz Lats that the Feds had an undercover agent embedded with the Salvadorans.

    [May] What are you reading?

"The Savage Tales of Solomon Kane" by Robert E. Howard. I actually have real all of these over 10 years ago but it certainly worth re-visiting.

    The Shield

I agree. I would have thought that they would have drawn that out for over a longer period of time. To be honest, everything that last episode seemed rushed. From Vic figuring out that Shane killed Lem, to Shane getting over what he did, to Dutch seemingly burying the hatchet with Billings...

Have you decided to change systems?

That is actually kind of hard to nail down. I actually think that there would be a couple of deal breakers depending on the player. All together, my 3 groups are spread out among 16 people with 2 over lapping into 2 of the groups. Different players would have different reasons for resisting...

Have you decided to change systems?

At least some of the players would. I know that for a fact. A round a year ago, the group that I am DMing Ptolus for was running a GURPS game under another GM having switched from D&D 3.5. The other GM is rather good and he put together a very good campaign. Despite that, eventually 4 out...

Have you decided to change systems?

I don't think that most of the players would go for it. I am being much more subversive and sneaky. What I am doing is loaning out my C&C players handbook. When they read it, I think that they are going to be hooked. I have already loaned it out to one of the players and judging from the...
