    Dungeon 99

Just FYI, I seem to get my issue (in Little Rock, Arkansas) about 2-3 weeks after someone posts "Just got the new dungeon!"

As a DM, how do you handle movement on a square grid?

We have a six inch ruler (30 feet!), 12 inch ruler and a yardstick. Any little bit of error is 5 feet at most so we don't worry about it.

Coolness: A Tribute to the GMs I've Gamed With

Okay I'll play fairly instead of just sucking up to Rangerwickett: Its cool when: The ex-barbarian/Paladin you've been playing since 1996 (under OD&D) dies when the party kills Alphax the Demon and the darn thing explodes and you don;t even care because the whole campaign was so cool. Thanks...

Coolness: A Tribute to the GMs I've Gamed With

I love complements. After playig Inky, gnomes are my favorite race. I might make a Mystic Theurge version of him for 3.5. :)

Please recommend an adventure that can be completed in less than 12 hours

after reading the reviews here at enworld I've decided to go with Three Days to Kill. Any suggestions/advice would be great. Thanks for all your input everyone.

Please recommend an adventure that can be completed in less than 12 hours

I'm starting to lean toward Three Days to Kill. If I cut out the carnival section or rush them through it should I still be able to wrap things up in a day of gaming? Would it mess up the mod in any big way?

Please recommend an adventure that can be completed in less than 12 hours

I think the subject says most of it. Please recommend an adventure aimed at levels 2nd-8th that can absolutely be completed in less than 12 hours. I like lots of role-play as much as dungeon-crawling hack-n-slash. I have a subscription to dungeon but just haven't quite found the right one...

How to run mass ariel combat? (and P-Kitty is EVIL)

Use a grid and miniatures as normal. A very large grid - such as a "Battlemat" from Chessex (?) works best. Next to each miniature place a d10. The numbers on the d10 represent #of feet (x10) the character is in the air. If your battle needs to go beyond 100 feet in the air then use...

As a DM, do you let PCs precisely "place" areas of effect for spells?

Yes. I even went so far as to write it up as a "clarification" in my house rules in case any of my players thought I wouldn't allow it.

How do you get information to the PCs?

Bards! Traveling bards stop through the town the PCs are in every once in a while, right? Well, they make a point of recounting news from far and near before they sing the ballads of old.... If the PCs go to buy a new sword, horse, food, etc...then the sotre owner can say, "You know what I...

Absolutely take Ghost Form from T&B - its a defensive, mobility, scouting and escape spell. Take it instead of teleport.

[Living Greyhawk] First time player - needs help

Well, the Yeomanry seems to be a human dominated area but with a nice mix of elves. Since I've decided to play a cleric-archer, I'm going to go with a cleric of Solonor Thelandira. This puts my PC a little outside the "mainstream" but it its not like playing a cleric of Wastri or anything that...

[Living Greyhawk] First time player - needs help

I will be playing Living Greyhawk for the first time at a con (RocKon in Little Rock) very soon. I'm very familiar with D&D, having played and DMed for quite awhile now. I am also in the middle of reading the big living greyhawk player's guide online. My region is the Yeomanry. Please offer...

If you are bored then create my badguy!

I haven't gotten around to doing my wizard yet but here is something else I just finished for my campaign. An enworlder (I can't remember who) helped me with this a few months back. Please excuse the unorthodox stat block FARSH Half-Dragon (Red)/Half-Troll/Bbn7; Large Dragon CR 14 hp 174...

Help me build an 8th level character..Please

First of all, welcome to the boards! I like the archer with rogue concept as a character. I think if you'll look more closely at the Deepwood Sniper PRC you will find that you're going to need some more levels of core classes in order to meet all of the requirements to take DWS. I don't have...
