Part of getting a college degree is getting an education (learning "stuff") and part of it is getting credentials (the degree, the piece of paper itself). One can go to college and get either, neither or both of these. The piece of paper DOES open many doors. What's important is the question...
I forgot to mention RttToEE. I love it - my players are having a blast with it. We have 8 PC's and no one seems to care that that's too many (and PCs still get killed.)
With all this talk about liking/not liking the ELH I thought I'd ask everyone which books they like most and why. My answers:
Forgotten Realm Campaign Setting - its so chock full of goody goodness that I couldn't NOT set my campaign there in spite of myself. Pretty map. When PC's decide to...
Elminster - in a world as big as the Forgotten Realms, with lots and lots of powerful individuals running around serving gods who aren't afriad to stick their noses in the world's affairs, it only makes sense that a being this powerful would pop up. In other words, what I like about Elminster...
IMC the party druid is a Wood Elf with a Dex of 20. The -4 to attack doesn't seem so severe in that light and touch attacks aren't difficult against large beasties like dragons and fire giants no matter what your dex bonus. The "washing" is a bit balancing but not if its used against fire...
And a fire giant becomes much less of a threat. I'm thinking a first level spell shouldn't be able to do that to a Fire Giant. I may make it a 2nd level spell or I may make creatures with more than X number of HD or levels immune (or get a save).
If you have Magic of Faerun please check out the spell Blinding Spittle and tell me what you think. Should this be a higher level spell? It seems a bit powerful for a 1st level Druid spell. I'm thinking of bumping it to 2nd level. Comments please. Thanks.
This came up in the game last night - I checked the errata and clrifications and counldn't find anything.
Party stumbles across a fire giant and the party sorceror casts shrink. The spell says something like "Save: Fortitude Negates (object)." One player argued that this meant that objects...

if you swtich henchmen, level up and then resume playing with your old henchman, you will have to tell the old henchman to level. But maybe that goes without saying
well...
I'm about to start playing Mage and I know 0, zip, zilch, NADA about it. I would love to have an "other RPG" slot here at enworld to discuss my new hobby on. So, I guess I'm a "Yes, as long as the focus stays on d20."
the patch
but I've always treated CRPGs like a "patch" for table-top roleplaying. If you feel like some D&D on Tues but game night is thursday, you just fire up NWN and it calms the cravings until Thursday. In this respect NWN is great.
sorry
sorry for staying away - I was playing on the Neverwinter Nights boards. BAD! BAD, enworlder.
Yes, please post a reference pic. Thanks Ryan.

Welcome!
Its good to see that someone else was wise enough to begin their name with "d" something. I'm still waiting for someone to name themselves somethiing like "d3PO" or "d4_hurts_when_you_step_on_it."
So, on to your topic. Way toooooo much for one thread. You gotta pace yourself - any...
hmmm. I've been running it for a few weeks and haven't encountered any HUGE problems. I Do know that the stats for a bugbear in the CRM are missing but we haven't reached that point. Check out www.montecook.com and go to the boards there - there are many very nice people there who will give...
