    2nd & 3rd level Prestige Classes?

Back in 3.0, Great Fortitude, Lightning Reflexes and Iron Will were Fighter bonus feats so you could take the class at 2nd-level if you were a 1st-level Human Fighter. Actually Forsaker was a class you wanted to take as early as possible as its value deteriorated at higher levels (when you'll...

    2nd & 3rd level Prestige Classes?

In Races of Stone there's the Stoneblessed which you can qualify after 2nd-level. Basically makes you the "adopted son" of either a dwarf, gnome, or goliath, gaining some of their racial abilities. Would I like to see more? Sure, if it fits the flavor. (The Stoneblessed and Master Specialist in...

Previews for May and Beyond is up

I'm more of neutral in my stance when it comes to classed monsters -- doesn't appeal to me but I can see the situations wherein it helps (helps time-constrained GMs get monsters, etc.). I can also see where it helps in terms of actual layout of the page (so that each monster entry exactly...

    Oots 447

That's not necessarily a bad thing. It's easier to catch up than say, wait for xx days for the resolution to a cliffhanger... :)

Imruphel, could you email me at charlesatan at gmail.com? I got some of the stuff you were looking for.

What Would You Get From This Pile?

Okay, that's great. It's a better method. =) Will try to obtain the modules/boxed sets and inquire about the shipping next week. My Saturday will be consumed by a 14-hour concert we're organizing so...

What Would You Get From This Pile?

I have the money and the space if you just want one of each. Don't know what the owner is asking for everything though. You can ask her when you drop by. =) Grodog seems to be getting a bunch of the boxed stuff though. P.S. Somebody should educate me on how Western Union works. =)

What Would You Get From This Pile?

Are the Boxed Sets/Dungeoneer's/Wilderness Survival Guide worth a trip? Here's what I found: Boxed Sets: Set 3: Companion Rules (roughly 36 copies plus some I missed that was at the outskirts; box is shrink-wrapped) Expert Rules (around 6 copies plus whatever I missed in the outskirts --...

What Would You Get From This Pile?

If you want I can buy the stuff you want and keep it at home until you get here. =) It's really the shipping that's killing me. Edit: Actually if you're just in Singapore, I can probably just ship it to you. Will check how much it costs to ship there. Unless you know, you're planning to empty...

What Would You Get From This Pile?

    1) Yes they're in English. The Philippines is an English-speaking country. 2) Last weekend until they run out of stocks. 3) I was checking Cathay Pacific and a one-way trip (couldn't get the two-way trip to work properly) from San Francisco on Economy class is $721.00 How they ended up there...

What Would You Get From This Pile?

Ah. Saw Expert D&D and Companion D&D in the pile. The rest, sadly, no (hopefully I am mistaken and I will spot some hidden when I return there).

What Would You Get From This Pile?

Having never played 1e AD&D (I'm age 26), what does BECMI stand for? I might be able to get a list by the weekend because the owner doesn't have a list and I will have to manually scrounge every nook and cranny and list down what they actually have. I can guarantee you several dozen survival...

What Would You Get From This Pile?

Just got back from the store. 1) Alas, no Planescape modules (although there is a fiction paperback of Planescape). 2) I took a closer look at the boxed sets. No basic but there's intermediate and advanced. =) 3) I made a mistake with the pricing of the modules. It's $2 (roughly) for two...

What Would You Get From This Pile?

Unfortunately I can't eBay them -- I don't have a credit card and we were banned from PayPal for quite some time (during Christmas they allowed outgoing PayPal from our country but not incoming). It's also the same problem that prevents me from buying stuff for you people and mailing it to you...

What Would You Get From This Pile?

The exact address (in case you have relatives there) is at Shopesville Arcade, San Juan City, Metro Manila. It's located at the ground floor, beside Mercury Drug. It's not in Manila city per se but it is part of "Metro Manila" which covers most of the urban cities in the Philippines.

What Would You Get From This Pile?

I'm from the Philippines and one of the defunct "gaming" stores (it's part toy store and part TSR distributor) is selling its inventory. The boxes and modules are going for around $2.00 while you can get any three TSR paperbacks for the same price (they have Dragons of Spring Dawning but alas...

No spell resistance vs. Orb spells? Why?

It never existed. The "Sudden" feats were applied only to the PHB metamagic feats, with Sudden Quicken having the most prerequisites.

No spell resistance vs. Orb spells? Why?

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I meant that creatures don't usually have death ward on. Mind blank yes, death ward no. Of course the undead type are immune to negative energy so that's already a bunch of creatures that's immune to it. But aside from them, few creatures in the MM have...

No spell resistance vs. Orb spells? Why?

Mind Blank, yes. Death Ward, not really (barring undead). At epic levels there's as long list of immunities (mind-affecting, necromancy, disintegration, polymorphing, etc.) including most energy types except sonic and high resistances to fire at the very least.
